Thanks Mickeymac. I'll check out Gun Frontier as soon as possible. I started watching the first episode of Galaxy Express 999 on my iPod via the CrunchyRoll app and it was quite intriguing.
BTW do any of guys like the BBC's Merlin and Sherlock shows which are airing on SyFy Channel?
Despite the fact that the Voltron movie movie is in development confusion at the moment World Event Productions and Mattel are pushing forward with the new television show for Nickelodeon entilted "Voltron Force". THQ has parterned with Mattel and Nickelodeon to produce video game tie-ins for the show as well.
It seems as if Kickstart Productions and Charles Roven's Atlas Entertainment are responsible for the upcoming Voltron movie which seems to be scheduled to launch sometime between next year and 2013. I suppose the television series reboot is to test the waters to see how people will receive the movie?

I forgot about the Voltron movie. Considering the generally poor writing the original had, I think the remake actually has some hope.
Speaking of Giant Robots, I recently finished off Mazinkaiser, and boy did it kick @$$! Lot of fun to watch, intense plot, and some great style and animation. Supposedly it's based on the Manga "Mazinger Z", which I've read a bit of, and also includes Great Mazinger, which is also a good show. I also saw Mazinkaiser vs the Great General of Darkness, which is a retelling of the Ending of Mazinger Z. I don't think it's as accurate to the manga as Shin Mazinger Shoukegi! Z Hen, but then again that show was so confusing I'd rather take the Mazinkaiser Interpretation anyway.
Now I'm watching Giant Robo, which as you can guess, is about a Giant Robot, though it's fairly dark for a Super Robot show.
BTW, make sure you let me know when you get close to the end of Gundam. I love the last few episodes. And I'll be caught up with Clone Wars by tonight, and I'll be watching it every other Monday on their website.
Great Mickeymac! I haven't been able to watch Star Wars The Clone Wars lately. To be honest we were almost to episode 35 in Gundam but we've stopped watching everything to focus on the Wakfu closed beta. My sister and I both got keys to participate in the closed beta and man has Wakfu got some SPECTACULAR game play. It's like a cross between Final Fantasy Tactics and Tactics Ogre! I've never played a game as intriguing as Wakfu in years.

Okay Mickeymac. We're going to start back on Mobile Suit Gundam and StarWars The Clone Wars this afternoon. My sister has been crying from Romeo x Juilet. I haven't watched it but she sure was torn up over the ending. I guess I won't be watching it either if it's that grim. I'm resuming watching Captain Harlock today too!
BTW what is this Mobile Suit Gundam 00? Is it a remake of MSG Classic?

No, it has more in common with Gundam Wing, actually. And like Gundam Wing, the story is pretty stupid if you really think about it (which at this point I'm sure you will), I can't say I'm a fan of the Mech designs, and it wanders into super robot territory a bit too often. But other than that it's a good show. The dramatic scenes are well-excecuted, the story is told in a way that's compelling, the characters are deep and interesting with mysterious pasts and motivations, and the action is some of the best in the series. Definitely worth a watch.
The show that's considered the "remake" is Gundam SEED, though it's not so much a remake so much as a few similar things happen that fans of the original would recognize. It's actually a lot more dramatic than Mobile Suit Gundam, for better and for worse. With that said, it is still one of my favorites, rivaling even the original MSG.
Of course, the natural next step would be Zeta Gundam, which is a direct sequel to Mobile Suit Gundam. It even shares some of the same characters. Of course it's a bit different, being more of a space opera, and it's also a bit more preachy (but not as bad as Victory Gundam). Oh, and be warned, it's a lot more...tragic than MGS was.
So, this is about sci-fi stuff? Firefly is my favorite science fiction show. I don't know if it's been mentioned in this topic, but it's all around amazing and a must watch.

Firefly was amazing. I love the Wild West and I love it even more when it's combined with science fiction. Too bad it got cancelled. That was a really bad move, honestly.
Also, @TokyoRed where did you leave off on Gundam? I'm assuming you haven't finished it yet, so I'm thinking of catching up before I marathon the rest of the meta-series.
