What is considered anime is really up in the air since, a lot of US shows got animated over at Japan, The Simpsons is done at Korea...

A man? More like a young adult who hasn't matured just yet. I've seen a lot better than this. Naruto is crazy, un-broken knuckled headed ninja who runs around in a orange jump suit like a manic but he does have brains and makes good use of those brains too! I have seen many girls in my life time and I don't fall for everyone bombshell that strolls past; ah, save for Japanese and Latino women, but that's a whole different ball game.

Anyway, enough on Amuro's unusual behavior. I've just got to say that I'm impresed with this show. I'm so impressed that I've but a hiatus on watching One Piece, ABC's No Ordinary Family and NBC's The Cape just so that I can watch more episodes of Mobile Suit Gundam and Star Wars The Clone Wars. I pray to God they can make more good shows like Mobile Suit Gundam; this show is the bomb!

Yeah, I noticed. Been goin' on for a while now, too, apparently.

Amuro is only 16, so yeah, he is young. And he's meant to be a more realistic potrayal of a teenager than Naruto. He acts on his emotions, has difficulty with authority. It's a coming of age story, and Amuro is learning to be a man. He's noticing the wiles of women for the first time. Oh, and Amuro grew up without his mother around, which could make him more prone to seek out the affection of women. It's also important to note that the Hamons ore NOT bad guys. They're good people, and had it not been for the war, they could've been friends. Mrs. Hamon isn't charming him, she's just a bit of a flirt, and just a nice girl, which Amuro picks up on.

Thx Mickeymac, I did notice that Mobile Suit Gundam isn't as black and white as most anime. I also noticed that the show seems to reflect the real morals and dogmas and truths that we hold dear to our hearts in the real world. The show is far more realistic than most sci-fi programs.

I've got to say that I did like Hamon's lover and I like the fact that for a lady Crowley Hamon packs a real punch as does Sayla and Mirai as well. It's a grief that Ryu killed himself to save his friends but I suppose it was nessacary effort as I'm reminded that "There is no greater love than that a man should lay down his life for his friends".

I really am sorry that I didn't know Mobile Suit Gundam sooner, I'm almost addicted to it.

Wait a minute. I was over on CrunchyRoll.com and I noticed that Sasuke Uchiha was back in his trademark blue shirt and grey shorts standing between Naruto and Sakura in a preview of episode 196. I must admit I'm only into like the fourth or fifth episode of Naruto Shippuden and I was wondering does Sasuke become good again?

I'm a little disconcerted because Sasuke was my favorite ninja back in 2006 when Nartuo was airing on Cartoon Network's Toonami before he was perverted by the Aruchimaru and his clan of evil.

That was just flashback fillers, and fillers are not really canon to the manga. Sasuke is still evil, and personally I like him better since he did turn evil.

When did this become the anime thread? Might I suggest making or reviving a Naruto thread so you could continue your discussions there? (Make sure you include a spoiler warning) It really has nothing to do with sci-fi at this point. And while you're at it, make a One Piece thread, I have questions to ask of the spoileriffic kind!

Ryu's death was one of the few TV moments that made me cry. It was quite possibly the most heroic thing I've ever seen and at the cost of his own life, he essentially saved not only his friends but the entire war.

And I'm glad you like it so far. It gets plenty interesting towards the end, and it's one of the few times I've felt a rewrite worked out for the best in the end.

Thx Mickeymac! BTW I did make a one piece thread. It's called One Piece Cafe or something of that nature. Also I did head over to the anime thread to discuss Naruto Shippuden. And I'm also going to start watching Mobile Suit Gundam 00 on CrunchyRoll.

I noticed that as soon as I was done typing. I still suggest making a Naruto thread, though, since then you can talk about as much as you want without worrying about spoiling things for people who aren't up to date with the series yet.

As for Gundam 00, I gotta warn ya, it starts off slow and doesn't get good until the last third of the first season. If I weren't desperate, I never would've made it that far. But if you can stick with it, it's one helluva ride once it gets going.

Thanks, and I Saw the episode of "Fly, Gundam" and she is in the episode but nothing really happens, just yet.

Thx for the heads up on Gundam 00. I'd also recommend Heroman to you as well. Heroman is by the grande ole Stan Lee.
It's a great anime and I think if you give Star Wars The Clone Wars a good chance you'll realize that it's a heck of a show to. I've got a crush on Ahsoka Tano right now cuz she is like the best new character in the move. When it comes to good brick kicking sci-fi one can't get any better than Star Wars or Star Trek.

We're on episode 22 of MS Gundam and I'm watching the first episode of Captain Harlock at this very moment.

Captain Harlock is legendary, though I've never actually seen it myself. (It's on my to-do)

As for Star Wars...those last two episodes were weird, and it seemed like they completely forgot about Darth Maul. Maybe I'm just not used to their format...

Yes, strange they were but I must admit that I did enjoy them to them to some degree. BTW they haven't finished with Darth Maul. I would explain more to you in regards to Darth Maul but I don't want to give you any spoilers Mickeymac. But to help you along I'll just let you know that episodes arcs are not quite episodic. You should read the webcomic and the store comics to help you understand. The episode arcs a bit standalone.

That Captain Harlock is marvelous. I sure hope that Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon will make a remake series of Captain Harlock for todays audience seeing as they are doing Thundercats. Does Hollywood have any plans for a Captain Harlock movie Mickeymac?

There's always Galaxy Express 999, Gun Frontier, Queen Emeraldas, Harlock Saga, Harlock: The Endless Odyssey, or the old-school Movie. They already made a Japan-only Movie remake of Space Battleship Yamato, another classic from Leiji Matsumoto, though he doesn't own the rights and that particular show has seen many sequels and remakes. Still, it did well, so they might make a Harlock movie someday.

I know Crunchy Roll has Galaxy Express 999 but I'll have to check for the others. Perhaps Hulu or iTunes will have them. I'm really enjoying the Captain Harlock. I was on episode 5 but I'm watching episode 3 and 4 again just to make sure I'm digesting this well.

I'm a little disappointed with iTunes they don't EVEN HAVE Mobile Suit Gundam and I haven't seen Captain Harlock in there yet. What's with Apple? They have a poor selection of anime.

Hulu has Gun Frontier, but Harlock Saga and Queen Emeraldas are DVD/VHS only OVAs. Harlock Saga is a retelling, Queen Emeraldas is a sequel, Gun Frontier is sort of a prequel.
