I absolutely loved it. Loved it. But i totally expect that there's going to be a whole mess of unhappy people, both of the hyper-whiny and the realistically-and-acceptably upset varieties.

I am incredibly satisfied with the final episode and the whole series in general. It was more touching and amazing than I could have ever possibly dreamed. I'll be the first to admit from the time that Jack talked to his father to the end, the waterworks had started up for me. I think that people who are complaining about getting answers are missing the point of the whole show. Sure there were mysteries that have remained unresolved, but the writers left enough hints for the audience to draw their own conclusions to the mysteries and be satisfied. At the beginning of the show I, like Jack, was a man of science who needed definitive answers to these problems. But as the show progressed through its amazing six year run I began to realize when the show was over, I was going to be thinking of the characters and not the mysteries. I can come up to the answers to those by myself. I think if Darlton wanted the audience to do one thing over the course of the show, it was to evolve like Jack and become a Man of Faith (in the characters) and care about them. Sorry for the wall of text, its kind of my longest post ever. And sorry for any spoilers I may have put in there, but i dont think there are any.

Sorry for the double post but I don't want to add to that post. Anyways, you guys have to go on youtube or hulu (if available) and watch the Jimmy Kimmel Aloha to Lost special. It is hilarious. I particularly liked the alternate endings. Let me know what you guys think.

I'm still having a tough time dealing with the fact that my favorite TV show is now over. I am very sad. I really did enjoy the finale last night. I spent most of the night and this morning pondering the meaning of the episode and I have come to accept that even though a lot of my questions will remain unanswered I am ultimately satisfied with the outcome of the series. It was extremely touching seeing all the cast come together in the afterlife and remembering their past experiences. Some scenes left me crying. The one that probably hit me the hardest was when Claire and Charlie finally reunited. I loved seeing Jin and Sun "awakening" together when Juliet was administering the ultrasound. I also was touched by watching Sawyer and Juliet together again. It was cool to see Vincent again and seeing Shannon again was also a pleasant surprise. I'm very glad that Lapidus survived the sub explosion and that Richard began to finally age. I was extremely pleased with Hurly being the choice to replace Jack as the protector of the island. That just felt so right. I loved Hurley and Ben's exchange outside the church in the afterlife. Sorry for rambling. There were just so many moments that I wanted to talk about. Lost is such a magnificent show and I feel a huge hole in my heart now that it is gone. I've been watching it from the very beginning so I will miss it tremendously but I most definitely enjoyed the ride. Unfortuanately, I now have nothing to watch on TV anymore.
I had hoped to post my lil smiley, the one with the sign saying 'I Love Lost!'. Also, I had hoped to copy and paste the dictionary meaning of the word... 'satisfaction'. But, I'm on Wii, and have been drinking Jack ( ;] ) all night. So instead, I shall just say...
I agree that the Charlie-Claire reunion moment hit the hardest, especially as i had always identified with Charlie since he reminded me a lot of younger-me.
Satisfaction is definitely a great way to describe the feeling coming out of the finale. Darlton realy proved what they had said all along, that the show is a character-study first and foremost, and they brought excellent closure to their tales. I'll continue to speculate on the mysteries, still watch for "clues" in older episodes and all that, but at the end of the day, we saw that The Island, Dharma, Jacob, and all the mysteries were really little more than MacGuffins to bring us along on these characters' journey.
I ended up skipping the Jimmy Kimmel show, because i think i'm not quite ready to see them "out of character" yet. Yeah, i know that may seem weird, but that's just me.
Meanwhile, i can't help but wonder how much Darlton were laughing about how wrong almost everyone was about the ATL! All the timeline-split theories and such ... WRONG! =)
And even if nothing else ruled coming out of the finale, i have two words for ya ... LAPIDUS LIVES!!
If you mean the ATL, it turns out that the ATL-universe was actually some sort of afterlife "waiting room" of sorts for the Losties to be able to find one another and reconnect before "moving on". That's the basic explanation.
