There were two series done by the same company shown in the late 80s, but you can get them on Dvd, etc. I'm after one of them

Yes!!!! Does this mean you have to do two questions?

Probably the equal of mysterious cities of gold, but I think my preference changed quite often.

They are apparently products of a french vogue for anime-style series in the 80s (and maybe now - I've not seen much french TV), and I think they were a co-production with a Japanese company?

You're Canadian but, as far as I know, don't speak French (as a first language).
(Obviously, I'm on shaky ground as there are loads of languages in Canada...)

The series in question is a French anime, and is probably still worth checking out

@inenai Tinny Tin is a Belgian by a Belgian creator but the comics were in French (which is one the main languages there) and the specific show I was thinking of was a French production.
