I might be alone here, but I hope the next Paper Mario goes back to Super's faster gameplay, but adds more depth so it's less repetitive.

The sidescroller action-platformer RPG is a rare breed. Bring it back!

ZELDA II REBOOT FOR NX?!?

Um...I miss the gameplay of the first two Paper Mario games.

IMO, they should blend the two. Make the grunt battles more action oriented, and the boss battles turn-based. My big issue with a lot of turn based games is that it's slow and boring to fight standard enemies.

Time for bold speculation.

What if Nintendo has gotten the James Bond license, and Retro Studios is working on it!? Their work with Prime would make them the prime (lol) candidate, as it would work best as a first person action game (rather than just an all out shooter) where in addition to shootouts, you'd also have to use an assortment of gadgets to solve environmental puzzles along the way, bringing the James Bond experience to gaming like never before.

As for Next Level Games, how about an F-Zero or Wave Race title? After all, they brought back Puch Out!! & Luigi's Mansion, and since I assume both were successes, I see no reason to see why they wouldn't be allowed to bring back another series on the backburner. Either could work as a 3DS title, or budget Wii U title ("budget", as in a Captain Toad or Rainbow Curse level release). Unless of course, they're doing Chibi-Robo: Zip Lash (do we know who is developing that one? Due to it's departure from series norms, I wouldn't be surprised if it was developed by a different team than whomever did the others, at least).

PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

Haha that's funny.

Here's how I think the consilemaker events will open and close:
-MS: Open with Forza, end with Gears of War.
-Sony, Open with Uncharted, end with Project Horizon
-Nintendo: Open with Ryu in Smash reveal, end with Next Level Games project.

We're almost to countdown mode with the title.

Looking forward to seeing Fallout 4 in action, and hopefully some Star Fox Wii U. Other than that, I mostly want some surprises this year.

I guess I'll throw some predictions and thoughts into the ring before I stop paying attention to video game news;

Bethesda:

  • New content will be announced for Elder Scrolls Online. The console version of the game is releasing on June 9th and I expect Bethesda is smart enough to try to keep interest high for the title. I doubt that the new content will be an expansion though.
  • MachineGames' new project will be named and we'll get a teaser. At most we'll get a vague, "2016," date for it.
  • Bethesda will remind everyone that BattleCry is a thing.
  • The reception to the new DOOM will be split, with some people saying it looks fine and the others saying they're skeptical.

Microsoft:

  • Something something Halo something something.
  • Rare's next game that's been hinted at before will be revealed and everybody will be disappointed.
  • Crackdown 3 will get a proper gameplay trailer and release date.
  • Microsoft will still try to pass off the fact that Rise of the Tomb Raider is an exclusive even though it really isn't.

EA:

  • Half of the conference will be about their putrid, stagnating, perpetually glitch-filled sports games because EA likes money.
  • EA will not announce a single original product at the entirety of E3 2015.
  • Mirror's Edge 2 will get a proper gameplay trailer and I will be unrealistically excited for the game.
  • Criterion's unannounced extreme sports game will just be another racing game and I will be (mostly) Okay with it.

Ubisoft:

  • Amongst talking about their annual franchises Ubisoft will announce another UbiArt game that will be critically acclaimed and continue to make people wonder how Ubisoft can be such a bad company and such a good company at the same time.
  • A downloadable, medium-length Prince of Persia game will be announced and subsequently forgotten about by most viewers.

Sony:

  • Dark Souls 3 will be announced at their conference. The reason I doubt that it will be announced earlier is because Sony has always been chummy with FROM Software and Sony is (probably) looking to try and pass the game off as exclusive despite the fact that it'll be multiplatform.
  • That new Guerrilla Games IP will be revealed.
  • Sony will repeat their mistake from last year by thinking they've already won and take their time to talk about whatever they please.

Nintendo:

  • The new Star Fox game will, without a doubt, be revealed. It has to!
  • Another Smash Bros. fighter will be announced. Whichever one it happens to be I don't care or want to guess, but a new fighter will (probably) happen.
  • Retro Studios' unannounced game will be revealed and it will not be another Metroid or Donkey Kong Country game.
  • A new Mario sports game will be announced.
  • A new Kirby game will be revealed OR co-production between Nintendo and Treasure will be revealed. I don't have that much faith in my dreams.

Square Enix:

  • The majority of the conference will be spent on Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Final Fantasy XV.
  • The new Hitman game that everybody has been spreading rumors about will finally get announced.
  • Kingdom Hearts III will get a proper-length gameplay trailer and it will get major applause because oh my god Kingdom Hearts III is finally happening.

PC Gaming Show:

  • IT WILL BE WAY TOO LONG. It's planned to be a whopping three hours and I doubt that the people behind it all have three hours worth of announcements, trailers, and demos.
  • Frictional Games will finally tell me what SOMA's release date is and when I can pre-order copies of it for myself and my friends.
  • A Square Enix representative will slowly walk onstage and announce that Final Fantasy XV is releasing digitally on Steam before slowly walking off.
  • Paradox Interactive will announce another grand strategy game that will give me nightmares about not understanding how to play it.
  • Cliff Bleszinski might tell us about what he's working on...maybe.

I really don't get why there would be a new Mario sports game when we have Mario & Sonic olympics...

Why would there be a new Yoshi game when we have Mario, DK, and Kirby? Why would there be a new Fire Emblem game when we already have Pokemon?

And hopefully, why would there be a new Metroid game when we have Splatoon?

@V8_Ninja Some interesting predictions, however Square Enix did confirm that Final Fantasy XV is skipping E3. Also, your prediction about Sony thinking they've already won and taking their time to talk about whatever they please is probably spot on. Sony is getting big headed again. You also somehow completely forgot Fallout 4 from Bethesda's lineup, which shall be getting a gameplay reveal at E3.

Had no idea that PC Gaming Show is set to be that long. I think that conference will have a lot of hardware, firmware, etc stuff as well as games. We know that Microsoft will be present to talk Windows 10, and I'm sure there will be stuff related to Steam as well.

I still say the best Mario Sports games were Mario Strikers Charged and Mario Hoops 3-on-3. Those games were really good. The rest were take it or leave it.

It doesn't quite work that way as Mario & Sonic olympics is essentially a Mario sports game with Sonic characters added as a bonus.

I'm going to make a bold prediction about Next Level: I think they're making a Duck Hunt game for Wii U. From their interview, it seems like Next Level wants to do something different from what they've done before and since they've announced they're exclusively working with Nintendo, I'm sure Nintendo would be happy to oblige. So they'll probably be working on something they haven't before. And Duck Hunt has been coming back into public eye now since the Duck Hunt Duo is playable in Smash, so it seems like that series is priming itself for a revival. As for how it would play, I think they could get away with the Banjo-Kazooie setup as long as they have the hunting elements in the game that define the series. In fact, I think this could actually make the game more unique, they could put a twist on the collectathon genre with this game by having the hunting serve as the collection element in this game so that in order to progress in the game and unlock new levels you have to go around the levels and hunt enemies. The Gamepad could also work quite well with this game, as it could work like a sniper scope to help you with targeting enemies.

EDIT: I take that back after coming across this:

http://playeressence.com/next-level-games-secret-wii-u-title-...

It seems more likely that Next Level is working on a new IP. This new game has story, online, and no collectibles. That rules out pretty much every existing IP that they could possibly be doing (Mario Strikers, Luigi's Mansion, Punch Out, Duck Hunt, Metroid).

Still want to see Duck Hunt happen from someone though (except for Retro, who I'd rather see work on Metroid).
