I just wish there wasn't so much freaking Amiibo during the digital event. It makes me worried about Nintendo's priorities.

Doesn't help that nearly everything felt uninspired and like a cash grab. Heck, even the impressions of Xenoblade X from importers are making me want to stay away.

Jesus, Platinum games is like everyone's favorite developer now. Why is everyone using them? lol

Them working on Star Fox was the LAST thing I expected. It's like some fanboy somehow got in charge of E3 this year and made the most ridiculous rumors he could choose come true.

No online multiplayer for Star Fox though. That sucks, but knowing Nintendo I guess it's expe-what? No local either apparently? RIP WII U, YOU WERE WORSE THAN THE VIRTUAL BOY.

One of the biggest problems was the pacing and arrangement. Project Treasure should have been shown here and not at the mini direct. Animal Crossing: House Arrest didn't belong in the digital event.

I'm thinking of re-editing the event myself mixing in content from the Direct Mini and the Smash Direct. Let me know if you all would be interested in that.

Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F

Nintendo's E3 looking much better following the Treehouse. The Metroid spinoff 3DS title looks really good.

Ok, yes, that Digital Event was awful, but before you all go Office Space on your Wii Us and update your Nintendoomed blogs, don't forget that the Wii U does actually have a fairly strong software lineup for the second half of 2015.

Retail releases:

Super Mario Maker
Yoshi's Wooly World
Xenoblade Chronicles X
Star Fox Zero
Fatal Frame: Maiden of the Black Water
Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash
Animal Crossing Festival
Devil's Third
Art Academy: Atelier
Guitar Hero Live
Skylanders: Superchargers
Disney Infinity 3.0
LEGO Dimensions
LEGO Marvel's Avengers
Just Dance 2016
Rodea the Sky Soldier
Mighty No. 9
Legend of Kay
Adventure Time: Finn & Jake Investigations

...Am I missing anything?

I think a major problem with the event was bloating with filler and focusing on the wrong information. They didn't even mention that Platinum was co-developing Star Fox, which is a big deal. They didn't show trailers for a lot of games that could have really used them.

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

i think so too but it still doesn't look anywhere good enough for me to consider buying it.

Why does it matter? The important thing is it's a Wii U game we're getting. That's awesome. I wouldn't mind a blank screen for Nintendo "Digital Event" but getting all the games.

@Aromaiden Shenmue was a joke, really. Something like that has, in my opinion, nothing to do in such a conference.
We reached the point in time where Kickstarter campaigns are E3 reveals. I think that speaks for itself.
And regarding FF7, for me, its all down to the gameplay really.
If its even slightly like 13 or 15, im out. Those two games barely even count as games, no matter how pretty they are to look at.
So, i wait and see till we see first real gameplay clips, because honestly, i dont care about how this game looks if it plays like dung.

Most of the upcoming Wii U titles seem like cash grabs rather than truly good games...the only ones I want Are Xenoblade X, SMT x FE, Super Mario Maker, and Zelda U, I'm not interested in Fatal Frame, and the rest seem like fluff.

So, is Retro developing a:

(1) huge unannounced game for 2016?
(2) a big 2017 game?
(3) a game for the NX?

So you're only interested in 4 upcoming retail games by Nintendo. Yeah, that's pretty good for Nintendo.

Considering the average console video game consumer is 13-30 years old, male, and buys approx. 1-2 games per year, I think being interested in 4 upcoming games by a single company is okay.

Star Fox Zero is apparently a reimagining of Starfox 64 according to the Treehouse event...WAIT A MINUTE?! Could it be the result of the rumored Re-Umagined line of games?!

I don't think Nintendo mentioned it, but there's a sale on the eShop:

http://e3.nintendo.com/offers/

Nothing too great, but I suppose it's not bad if you were on the fence about any of those games.

As for E3, I thought it was mediocre across the board. I won't say too much about the conferences themselves, but I will give my thoughts on some games that were shown off.

Final Fantasy VII Remake - I saw so much hate for Microsoft when Rise of the Tomb Raider was announced as a timed exclusive, so why is it okay when Sony does this? Regardless, I'm excited to see more of this game. It needed a remake.
Mario & Luigi Paper Jam - This looks fun, but why did it need to be a crossover? They could've made a traditional Paper Mario game, and people wouldn't have been disappointed with it.
Super Mario Maker - This looks way better than it did a few months ago. It went from a game I was interested in to a must buy. The NWC was a perfect way to showcase this game.
The Last Guardian - I get why this is a big announcement, but I'm not convinced. The gameplay in both Ico and Shadow of the Colossus was bad, so I don't want to play this if it won't feel like a genuine improvement.
Uncharted 4 - Looked great. I was never a big fan of the previous games, but I really do want to play this one.
Zelda: Triforce Heroes - I didn't want a multiplayer Zelda, but it does look fun. I'm just concerned about how often Nintendo is releasing Zelda games nowadays. There was never a shortage of games in this series, but I don't want them to milk it so much.

So what was everyone's favorite game of E3? Mine favorite new announcement was probably Horizon Zero Dawn. Looks really good.

Favorite new IP was without a doubt Horizon Zero Dawn. Incredible art design, and the gameplay looks excellent and quite in line with what's possible. I can't wait to play it.

I would have liked to see gameplay of ReCore, but I suppose that's for Gamescom.

Probably Horizon: Zero Dawn as well. I'm glad The Last Guardian gets finally released as well. When your two favourite games at E3 are Sony games, you know it's time to get a PS4: Probably next year when either Horizon or The Last Guardian gets released.

Its all been abit boring really. Am i the only one who thinks this? Wheres the innovation? Wheres the excitement? Just an array of fps/3ps games with different skin and lots and lots of sequels and remakes.
