This was so bad holy crap i died inside only good thing was the Paper mario X Mario and Luigi game and Star fox. Nothing new too much on Mario and amiibo. I'm mad as hell right now

Nintendo not doing "E3" anymore. They do Nintendo Directs. All the time every month.
This was a good direct. They showed new Zelda, new Metroid, two new AC, new Paper Mario, new Tennis, 2 FE.
We get release dates for Starfox and X, both 2015, not some future stuff bull like Sony did.
Mario Maker and Yoshi.
Oh my god, that was terrible. Nintendo, you get a D.
You have a severe problem with a lack of single player games on your platforms. So what do you do? Announce a million MULTIPLAYER games.

Metroid Prime: Federation Force/Blast Ball looks interesting, but not the grand experience I was expecting from Next Level. That said though I TOTALLY CALLED IT BEING AN ONLINE SCIFI SHOOTER!

Wow. That was worse than even my worst case scenario expectations. It was almost all stuff we’d seen before. Zelda and Metroid are two great, single player adventures, but they’re turning them into multiplayer focused games and putting them on the 3DS. A mash up of Paper Mario and Mario and Luigi, again on the 3DS which was my pick of the small bunch, and then a Mario Sports games. I love Mario Sports games but that’s all you have to announce for the Wii U? That’s it?
I think they’re done with the console. Zelda WILL come out, but it’s going to a Twilight Princess situation and be an NX launch title. I said before that just one big new announcement would make me happy as there’s been so much good at E3, but there wasn’t even that. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll buy and play, and probably enjoy the 4 new games announced here, but… they’re just kind of underwhelming, you know? Good to fill out a schedule, but… wow. #Deflated
So, what did we see what was not new ?
Mario Party with Animal Crossing skins and a mashup of Paper Mario and Mario&Luigi....The rest wasnt new, as we already knew about starfox.
And that Metroid thing ? I didnt think Nintendo would still develop DS games.
Sorry guys, even i, the guy who defends pretty much every dumb decision, am disappointed to no end.
This is what a completely failed presentation looks like. No matter how you look at it. This was just an old Direct episode with a handfull of new trailers.
Seriously, where was Devil's Third? Project Giant Robot, or Project Guard? Retro Studio's new game? We got a ''Metroid''-game that's hardly a new Metroid game, an Animal Crossing Party game nobody cares about. Star Fox looks like a Wii port, I understand the Wii U can't handle PS4/Xbox graphics, but have you seen those textures? That's not really a pretty game. Some more Mario and Zelda milking and they called it a day...
I've got Devils Third on preorder, Super Mario Maker looks fun but I'm not committed yet, and as crappy as Star Fox looks, I'm a sucker for Star Fox 64 and haven't complete written this one off yet.
At least one of those will likely be the last game I buy for Wii U. I haven't bought a game for it since Bayonetta 2 last October.
I just lost all faith or hope in Nintendo that they could turn the Wii U around, and I am highly sceptical of what the NX will accomplish and certainly won't be buying that on day one like I did with the Wii U.

It's not a Direct. They changed the name to a Digital Event because it was supposed to be more than that, and it was last year.
It sounds wonderful on paper when you put it like that. The problem is that, aside from FE, Star Fox, Paper Mario, and XCX, all of that was incredibly disappointing.
I don't really see a point to multiplayer Zelda, the Metroid games seemed like small downloadable games from what we saw, one animal crossing game looked like it's a downloadable title, the other looks like a Mehrio Party Clone. Mario Tennis is cool i guess, but I've stated repeatedly that I don't get the point of Mario Sports games.
Also, nothing on Project Guard, Project Giant Robot, Devil's Third, Tantalus's port, or Retro's games.
