Recore looks interesting, even if it wasn't real gameplay.
As for real-time presentation vs digital event: A digital event is more aimed at the most important thing, the players. And it did work so far (I liked it). But at the same time it was great to hear the press cheer when Twilight princess was on the screen. That isn't possible with a Digital event. But lets be honest: Nintendo has Digital events nowadays, because that's LOTS cheaper then a real-time presentation! I can only imagine how much it costs to rent a LA theater for 1 or 2 hours.
I still think though: No real-time event is a step back. If you want to roll with the big dogs, you NEED a real-time presentation!
I STRONGLY disagree with that last statement. Doing a Digital Event is a step forward, and should be the standard. The traditional press conference is outdated. Going back to that would be a step backward. It was pretty much the general consensus that Nintendo won E3 last year. This year they'll hopefully be 2nd place - Bethesda will take 1st undoubtedly.
well guys, it looks like I might not be going to E3. My carpool wants to leave before the Nintendo Direct finishes and I really want to watch it. Driving down there myself is to expensive. I might change my mind. We will see.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
Ubisoft's conference = cringeworthy. South Park and the last minute Ghost Recon reveal saved it.
So far, I'd say Bethesda > Microsoft > EA > Ubisoft. Sony is up next, while Nintendo, Square Enix, and PC Gaming Show are tomorrow, though Nintendo has had a pretty good start with the Smash content, NWC, and Earthbound Beginnings. Hopefully Sony learned a few things after last year's snoozefest.

Bethesda did great, but I don't know if they auto win though. I personally thought their most redeeming part was obviously Fallout 4 and their surprise games and toys. Everything else seemed fairly normal and predictable, and I really wasn't shocked or surprised by them. Although they definitely did do great.
haha at the last game ubisoft was showing i was like "they said this is an old franchise but it doesnt look like anything they ever did. maybe a new far cry with focus on coop?" then it said "ghost recon" and i was like "huh. well i guess ubisoft never played a ghost recon game before"
still looks cool though but not like ghost recon

Would've been better had they not accidentally leaked Dishonored II.
I just saw Ubisoft Conference god it was just CGI nonsense only 3 games had gameplay footage. And the worst of it all the crowd was eating it up. God this is a bad E3 for me at least.
The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.
I'm so glad that business sims are alive and well this gen. First Cities:Skylines, now Anno, and soon TPS and RTC:World. Now I just need a new Mac to run them.
Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F
Ubisoft gets bonus points for retail games that aren't all boring again, but they lose them all because no Beyond Good and Evil 2. Ubisoft loses a ton of points for that every year, by default.
Fallout was the highlight of Bethesda's conference (duh). Doom was alright, not great, but alright. Microsoft's highlight was honestly Gears 4 and the Holo Lens demo. EA's highlights were Unravel and SW Battlefront, while Ubisoft's highlights were For Honor and South Park.
So two things quick... FIRST, if the rumor is true and Square is putting out a real REMAKE of Final Fantasy VII for PS4. If this is true, is there any announcement that could come out that would trump it? I say no. Maybe Nintendo having heavy third party support return. What say you?
SECOND, I have seen comments and whispers Iwata is not in the Direct for very long tomorrow, if at all. If that is true, I think he really may be stepping down.
Is FFVII really that spectacular of a game? I personally would like to see a remake of it, but I doubt it will trump all other games (especially considering the colossal Fallout 4).
Is a Final Fantasy Vii Remake even worth it though. It would be incredibly expensive, you'd have to change so much of the game and the type of RPG doesn't really do well.
WAT!
