I finished Disco Elysium; I just wanted a few days to think about it. And I have to say it's a brilliant game. The writing, atmosphere, and characters. It's top-notch; I haven't been this enthralled by a game since Arkane Studios Prey and Evil Within 2. I couldn't stop playing until I got to the bitter end, and now I wish I didn't.
I feel horrible for any other RPG/ JRPG that I play afterward. It's going to take a lot to top Disco Elysium.
The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.
I just finished Earthbound Beginnings. It is definitely rough around the edges, which should be expected for an NES RPG, but I don't think it was as bad as it is made out to be. I did have a walkthrough available mostly just to make sure I was going the right way, and I usually was, and I didn't even always follow it. It would have taken a lot longer without the walkthrough, but I don't think it was really needed (except for maybe the cactus in the middle of the desert. I'm not sure I ever would have found that on my own).
Beat Hades for the first time the other day. I think it took me around 30-35 attempts and I did switch to god-mode just before I hit the 30 attempt mark because I'd got to the last boss a few times but just got absolutely destroyed.
@Zuljaras Nice, I'm pretty sure I had Asylum years ago (never completed it though, maybe put around 5ish hours into it) before my laptop died but I would like to pick it up again at some point.

I am on a big Fire Emblem kick, so I went back and finished FE: Fates Conquest for the first time and am working through FE6: Binding Blade now. Still unsure on if I am going to pick up new FE Warriors, as I have yet to try a musou game. I remain skeptical. Might give the demo a shot.
I beat Clan o Connall. Nice little puzzle action platformer. Feels alot like the action of guacamelee, just not as polished. Well worth thr $5 I spent.
Haven. I was a little sad to see my time with the main characters come to an end and the ending is a bit of a downer ending but overall it was a very fun game. And one that had characters that resonated with me. I am now a fan of the devs for this game and furi.

I reached the end credits of Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna - The Golden Country on Saturday. I liked this game more than the base version of XC2, enough that I did much of the side content. I prefer the combat system in this compared to its parent game, though it isn't perfect. I also like that the plot is more condensed, the character development is decent, and that you only need to focus on a handful of Blades.
I knew what was coming at the end since I played the base game, but still...it was pretty emotional. Especially since there were a couple of curve balls I didn't see coming. The only thing I'm still really confused on is Gort. Was he Lora's...sperm donor, or just in a VERY toxic relationship with her mother?
