For Kids is hard.... I feel like actual kids like violent games where they shoot each other in the head. 😝

But if we're just saying E or E10.... that includes most Nintendo games, most puzzle games, most farming/life sim games.... even a lot of RPGs including some of the Final Fantasy games. Even Hollow Knight and Celeste are rated 10+. Sooo.... I guess most of the games I play technically count as kid games or at least kid-friendly? I admit I don't usually really notice the difference between 10+ games and rated T games β€” mostly I ignore ratings and just play games which look fun, whether they are E or T or the rare M although M tends to be more noticeably different. I will say I probably played more T and M games when I was a small child than I do as an adult. πŸ˜†

That said, my overall favorite games in the last few years have been Animal Crossing and Mario Maker (both rated E) and My most recent most-played game has been Suika Game which is also rated E. And my most looked-forward game is Peach Showtime which is surprisingly rated E10 rather than E (maybe because of the sword? πŸ€” ).

@FishyS
And don't forget Ninja Peach.
She slayed the enemies in cartoonish way.

Also, I found some new upcoming games outside of Nintendo Direct from play-asia and that's why I really count on play-asia for the upcoming games information.

The Smurfs Party game. πŸ˜€
It will be released on multi consoles.
Interesting part, only shown Switch, PS4 & PS5 will have physical release while XBOX version will be digital only.

@Sunsy
If you like Smurfs games by Microids last time, you will pick this game too.

@Anti-Matter Microids really making use of that Smurfs license. I only played Mission Vileaf and Smurfs Kart, have yet to play The Prisoner of Green Stone. So that makes this and Prisoner of Green Stone I have to try and get now. Thanks for the heads up.

The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!

When I was a kid, I loved PC Genius. It was a magazine from the UK (I'm Australian), and it included floppy disks with educational games centered around a theme (Animals, Sports, Food, Electricity etc.). We couldn't afford past Issue 11 as our house was being rebuilt, and I was absolutely gutted. They covered a lot of ground, including stuff that I wouldn't encounter until high school several years later! (I was about 7 at the time that I briefly collected them). It makes me sad that children today are missing out on these gems

I was also a big fan of Headbone Interactive (funnily enough, I own all of their games on CD), a long-defunct company that specialised in edutainment games, specifically the Gigglebone Gang series, which I loved, and the Elroy series. There were promises of more, but they sadly went out of business. Again, a travesty that modern kids can't readily play their games as I think they still hold up today.

And also a big, big fan of Edmark (Bailey's Book House, Sammy's Science House, Imagination Express), Mecc (Storybook Weaver, Opening Night), and The Learning Company (Super Solvers series, PokΓ©ROM, Reader Rabbit).

There were so many great kids games in the 90s that were really fun without compromising on educational value, and they all seemed to almost simultaneously die off in the late 90s/early 00s.

I love the Cars video game. My friend and I spent hours at his house playing the heck out of this game as kids, and eventually I got it for my Wii. Recently I've been playing it again, and it STILL hits the spot. Definitely not like other movie to game adaptations.

Surprise, surprise.
Snoopy is back on multi consoles by GameMill.
Looks like the gameplay will be bunch of variety games from point & click to racing to 2D style platformer, etc.
I know the reputation of GameMill to provide kids games with subpar to decent quality, but at least they try to cater the difference audience.
