Duely noted. Really, I think more people should check out Hulu and Crunchyroll. They're a great place to try out anime.

Well, I watched a bit of Tiger & Bunny thanks to Oddy's suggestion and the show is pretty good. The premise is basically old and instinctual superhero teams up with young and cautious superhero, they don't get along well, cue the dangerously comic-book-ish situations and explosions.

So, I just finished watching Now And Then, Here And There. The last two episodes are still really damn powerful after originally watching them about two years ago. They encapsulate almost everything that makes the show what it is, which is absolutely heart-clenching.

@Oddy I'm not a huge fan of the comedy, but I think the show is done better than most other anime and I really like where it could go with it's currently underlying ideas. Of course, the show probably won't touch on those ideas to the degree that I want them to, but I will not have considered my time watching Tiger & Bunny wasted.

you just described every anime except Bleach

Tiger & Bunny is awesome and everyone should watch it. Especially if you like superhero reconstruction!

And it gets even better. Kotetsu ftw.

So, I watched the first four episodes of No. 6, and I gotta say; it's pretty good so far. However, I've got a feeling that the series could become very...umm...yaoi, to put it bluntly.

Oh my god. No. 6 just barely missed the mark of being slapped with the yaoi label...and I was starting to really like the series. Stop it,No. 6! Now I have mixed emotions about you! sulks in corner, cries

Finished series 5 of Bleach. Started to get into the bount story and it wasn't too bad in the end. Not up there with series' 1 - 3 but I've definitely seen anime I like less. The first movie was great, too. Gonna order series' 6 and 7 soon but it's gonna be hard paying full price after getting the others for cheaps

In the meantime, I've ordered Ouran High School Host Club and Claymore.

..Should I be embarrassed that I like Lucky Star or not? Because I've watched one episode, and I like it.

I love Lucky Star more than Nintendo loves money.
As long as you like something you shouldn't care what others think. Just enjoy what you like. Lucky Star has some great comedy and plenty of references that will make you smile. There's probably a good chance of there being one character you can relate to. Which is pretty cool for a Japanese anime about 4 school girl's lives. It's entertaining and that's what matters. Don't be ashamed you like it. You should go out to the world and scream you love it. My friends keep tellin' me to shut up about Lucky Star.

One thing I've been wondering about as I watch more and more anime is whenever a family or group sit down to eat, they all chant "let's eat!" or "thank you for the meal!"

What's that all about?

It's a Japanese tradition. What they actually say (in Japanese) is more along the lines of "thank you [the host] for the meal." It just gets dubbed into something more generic for Western audiences where the tradition doesn't translate - I guess it's the equivalent of American Christians saying a prayer to God before meals.
