#2. While manga and anime do share things in common, they really aren't the same beast.

yes, yes they are. Or they might as well be. Like 99% of anime are based off of manga and does anyone even read manga that is unaware of anime? If there is, that would be fascinating just trying to figure out how that's even possible.

What episode are you on? Because while I'm only a few episodes in and it has been entertaining, I haven't seen anything really amazing so far. I don't know if that's just difference in tastes or I'm just not far enough in yet.

Nevermind, episodes 12 on have been pretty awesome. Now I'm officially addicted to this show.

Isn't it awesome? I'm somewhere in the mid 20's. You should start watching the movies, too. I've seen the first two so far and they're really great. The first one is action packed, the second one reminds me a LOT of the third Pokemon movie, and both of them have some good character development throughout.

I'll be caught up with you by the end of the day. I just passed episode 20 and I'm still going full steam ahead. And I looked up the synopsi of those movies and they sound really good, but I'll wait until they're dubbed.

I dunno it's by Gundam and Karas people apparently and my aunt and Japanese uncle love it. Thought I might check it out for free on Hulu and was wondering if people had seen it here and there thoughts and such.

I've heard nothing but good things about it, though it isn't amazing. That's all I know. Super Hero shows aren't really my style.

I would just like to say that I am also now the proud owner of the complete collection of Now And Then, Here And There, one of the best anime series to ever exist. If you haven't watched or heard of it, go see the series now. All 13 episodes of the English dub of the anime (which is really good) are all on Hulu. Seriously, it is one of the best shows you will watch. EVER. Do you realize that I am very passionate about this show?

I saw the first episode of Metal fight beyblade Explosion.(Beyblade Metal Masters.) I can't believe I set aside time to actually watch it. I guess I was just curious to see if it fixed anything with the first season of metal fight. The fights which were never intense to begin with seem to have more work put into them. It was so great to not hear every person battling shout out the Beyblade's name. I have to admit. I tried not too think too much of it and was actually entertained. It's not an amazing anime, but it's fun to watch for me if I'm really bored, not going to analyze every scene, and feel like watching something beyblade related. Still prefer the original, but it's nice to see kiddies getting exposed to the deadly spinning tops.

I saw one episode of it but forget to go see the rest. Once maybe I'll watch it while I take a break from St. Frog and Turn A Gundam tomorrow.

If you want something fun and mindless but doesn't suck watch some super robot shows instead, like Gurren Lagann or anything Go Nagai related.

I've been meaning to watch Gurren Lagann forever. I've heard nothing, but good things about it and the chapters I skimmed through of the manga seemed fun. I seriously need to check it out. It'd probably be better for my wallet too since every time I watch Beyblade I feel like going out and buying the tops.

Anybody here collect the Transformers G1 DVD sets?
Just thought you might be interested to know they've recently released the Japanese Headmasters series.
It does have english subtitles so you can at least still understand what's going on. Would have been nice if it was dubbed in English though. Later they will also be putting out sets of Super God Masterforce and Victory.
I'll probably get them all even though I don't know a word of Japanese. They're nice collectables to have.

I like where Gurren Lagann is going.
It's seven years in the future and I really hate Rossieu now.
@Mickey You were definitely right, lol. Simon is much cooler now.

Also changed my avatar. Guess who it is.

You'll probably come to like Rossiu by the end.

And judging by the tattoos, I'd say it's Kamina.
