I go to college and take my 3ds for the street pass everyday, and I'll usually get 6-10 a day. At the beginning of this semester I walked into one of my classes and instantly made 4 friends just because they were all playing on their 3ds. We've had a couple of Mario kart races, Pokemon battles, and we're big help to each other on street pass games. Don't worry so much about what other people think, if you take your 3ds you just might make a couple of gaming friends.
same here, but it wasn't as good to me at high school, the day I went there with my 3DS it got home with some ugly scratches.... >.>
not to count the guys I met at college who played Pokémon with me suddenly stopped talking to me and started mocking me for still playing Pokémon(and this happened in a matter of months)

So my math teacher is deciding a time when we can bring our electronics to school. I'm bring my ipad mini but should I bring my 3DS? I'm afraid to get picked on and stuff.
well ... I don't think your 3DS would be upset, my advice is to go see your doctor explain your afraid of the people that you've for whatever reason you seem to have caused fear in them of you, also mention the fact you seem concerned about the well being of a handheld console and the doctor will take it from there.
Gaming friends kinda scare me. I don't want to be considered a nerd. sigh Time to buy headphones for my 3DS
We were all kids once, and I don't mean to diminish what it's like in school with peer pressure and the urge to conform and all, but trust me when I say the biggest thing about becoming an adult is maturing to the point you don't care what anyone says or thinks. Confidence is everything. It's why dorky little dudes can end up with the hottest chicks. If you waltz in there with a 3DS all timid and afraid people are going to ridicule you for it, they probably will. Kids are like rabid dogs that way- the can smell the fear. But if you walk in there with your head held high with confidence, and tell everyone how cool the 3DS is and show them the AR technology and some glasses-free 3D games, and stand tall and proud like you EXPECT them to like it, you'll be fine.
Walk in there acting as if THEY are uncool if they DON'T like your awesome 3DS, and make it seem as if "OF COURSE everyone loves the 3DS, you'd be weird not to!" It's all about the confidence. Set the trends, don't follow them. SHOW THEM what is cool, don't conform to what THEY say is cool.

I'm afraid of kids picking on me resulting in physical harm to them. I can't control my anger .
you just need a hug, do you want a hug?

And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)

sounds like me when I was younger.
don't hit them, kick the walls or something that will make some loud noise to scare them. you'll be screwed the same way as if you had hurt someone but no harm will be done to the others(that's what I did until I learned to control myself)

if you want to impress your friends anything not turn based/slow paced people tend to not get the appeal of games like this without actually playing(what would require you letting them play, that's usually a bad idea)
if you want just to play at school do it the other way around, turn based games are good to play when you're not home because they don't need real time focus on them. it's horrible trying to chat with your friends and play real time games all at once.

@KennyPowers I wonder if you would still be trolling him like that if you weren't safe in your anonymity and instead were one of the ones who might be there when someone with anger issues who gets bullied all the time finally explodes and takes half the school with him.
