Topic: 3D Mario Hatred?

Anyone on this site strongly and utterly hate 3D Mario games? I can not imagine why someone would. So, I am curious to hear "reasoning" of those who are not found of these titles at all. As you would imagine, I am the complete opposite and can not think of any reason why individuals would not be found of some of the best games Nintendo has to offer. Feel free to change that. :3

I strongly hate the 2D entries in the franchise. But I've never met anyone who strongly disliked the 3D Mario games.

Because they don't like good games. Aside from Sunshine, all of the 3D Mario platformers are awesome.

Any Mario game that's not fun enough to even beat isn't considered awesome in my book.

And I've beaten or completed all Mario platformers except for 3D World, which I'm working on right now.

I can't see anyone hating Mario 64 AND Galaxy. Like I could see someone not liking Galaxy (still having a terrible opinion but regardless...) if they want 3d Mario to be more open and can't stand the whole gravity weirder controls thing. And I could see someone hating Mario 64 for not being anywhere near as much about what the 2d Marios are like and for the platforming not being the best (about classic platforming gameplay instead of being the prototype for Banjo Kazooie and Spyro the Dragon). But anyone who hates all of them but likes 2d Mario I doubt even likes many 3D titles in general, and that's the nicest thihg I could say about it.

I can say that anyone that hates 3D World has many problems. This game is so incredible that it might be the best Mario platformer ever.

No, that's not what I had in mind.

I prefer 2D platformers in general, but 3D World is pretty easily the best in the whole series.

...well... I generally like all Mario games, so... I guess I'm not the guy you're looking for.

I've never heard of 3D Mario hatred, but I do think that 3D Mario tends to sell less in Japan over the 2D ones...and I believe the reverse is true elsewhere. But that's not to say Japan HATES 3D Mario, they just might not prefer the controls/mechanics that the extra dimensions give.

I've mostly heard praises and recommendations about this game. The biggest complaints I've heard was the lack of online multiplayer and the earlier levels being a bit too easy.

The only people that I can think of are ones who don't like platformers in general.

Wasn't a huge fan of sunshine but wouldn't go so far as to say I hate it, as for galaxy I think I bought too much into the hype so was somewhat let down by it in an expecting a 10/10 game and feeling it was personally more of an 8/10 game; certainly didn't hate galaxy liked it quite a bit just not my fav 3D mario game or my fav wii platformer either.

Sonic fans? oh wait that's in the past now Sonic and Mario are buddies..... yeah the "3D mario haters" don't exist or are of a specie that is forbidden to use the internet and thus having no records of their "3D Mario Hate"

The only 3D Mario I dislike is Super Mario Sunshine. So many obnoxious design choices in that game it doesn't even feel as though Nintendo developed it.
