I realised after buying Diamond that Pokemon's not my thing anymore (but Pokemon Yellow will have a place in me forever!). There are so many other games I want right now (thanks to virtual console) that I probably wouldn't get this if I wanted for a while. I didn't like the second gen pokemon games. They needed too much grinding - I literally found two gym towns practically right next to each other!

Wont be getting either, can think of tons more DS games I'd rather buy than Pokemon, which has kind of been why I haven't bought any since the originals on Gameboy, there is always something else I'd rather buy instead, still to buy Bowsers inside story will also be getting Spirit Tracks.

I might get the HeartGold version, since I got the original Gold version. I'll just have to see when it comes out if I feel it's worth my cash. Lately, Pokemon is pretty low on my want-list.
It's weird how the first time I heard the names of this games, I wanted SoulSilver instead of HeartGold.

Maybe because SoulSilver just sounds cooler and Silver is prettier to look at while Gold gives one that "fancy" and "bling-bling" vibe. I'm still getting HeartGold.
I'm getting HeartGold for me, SoulSilver for a friend and for my brother, 3 in total lol (they pay, I make the order and keep the preorder bonuses lol)

The main difference in goldsilver was that u get lugia first at a lower level in silver but with aeroblast and ho-oh first on gold at a lower level but with sacred fire if remember correctly right guys?
Yeah, in the DS version they made Lugia/Ho-Oh more like a part of the story, much like Dialga/Palkia in the Sinnoh versions.
You get Ho-Oh earlier in the game than Lugia if you play HeartGold and it's the other way around in SoulSilver. The difference is that it's now required unlike in the Game Boy Color version where it was a side-quest.
I got the japanese version of SoulSilver from playasia.com and I have to say it is an amazing game The menus have been improved a lot and now you can play the game with touchscreen and d-pad only (which is really convinient) The remade music is awesome and mostly better than before (at the end of the game you even get an item that lets you switch between the old gameboy color music(!) and the new remade music) The graphics are a lot better than they were in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, mostly because there are a lot more details There are still some annoying graphical glitches (like the weird 1px border that shows everything the first layer, has been there since D/P/P) the Pokéwalker is a nice addition. Some thought you can cheat and train Pokémons to lvl 100 very easily but you can't It only allows you to raise a Pokémon's happiness and you can only raise a Pokémon's lvl by one per upload The story is almost the same as in G/S/C Yes, it is possible to trade Pokémons between D/P/P and HG/SS. I tried it with my european version of Platinum and I had no problems. Overall it's a well rounded game and I highly recommend it
I have a lot of the Pokemon RPG's, but apart from Yellow I never could get into the other ones. Probably because the Pokemons got out of control. 251 is more then enough. Even though I loved Yellow, the biggest problem is that after you beat the Elite Four, there is nothing to do anymore apart from getting all Pokémons. But the only other trainers that form a bit of a challenge is the Elite Four again. But I like this HG/SS. Looks like a lot of improvements and I love the Pokéwalker. I would love to train Bulbasaur this way.
