I currently have a DS Lite and I do love the system! However I was woundering if I should upgrade or pursue something else to buy. I have played on the DSi before (One of My Friends bought one at lauch) and I have enjoyed my time when I played on it, but I need more convincing and before you say it, yes I have played (and loved) Flipnote Studio!
Umm... This topic is specific to upgrading and me not reasons to buy one! Well technically if I get one, I want to keep my Lite! But I probably should have said, "PSP or DSi!" instead, considering thats what I'm trying to decide on!
I believe the DSi has many more creative and unique games. The PSP lives up to its name. It definitely IS a portable version of a playstation. Thats why many of its good games (not all) are potentially downgraded versions of PS3 games.
The Sony playstation consoles are too uninovative in their games. A DS lite wouldn't be an "upgrade" at all if you went for a PSP, it'd be a downgrade in gaming qulaity and intelligence IMHO
"They say video games are bad for you? That's what they said about rock n' roll."

Actualy, if your DS Lite isn't broken ( mine was ), and you don't feel like taking pictures or downloading stuff, or listen to AAC files from an SD card, then keep your DS Lite. A DSi is great, but Nintendo added to little for it right now in order to be worth upgrading. If it had VC or connect to wii to get VC gaes directly on your DSi, then this would had een a yes, upgrade immediatly, but unfortunatly, it is a no. It's your choice buddy, i can't make you decide if you want one or not :/ All i have to say that, it's a bit better, but still not enough....( and i bet nintendo will never put the VC feature thing i mentioned on the DSi, they've became cheap nowadays, and if they putted it, i bet it will be like a year after japan got it. )
Hope i could help ya :/
Well, this is a signature from someone, it says stuff, and you're reading it.

In fact, i do not agree that a PSP is a downgrade. If you want to know, there are some games that are collections made by Konami ( parodius/slamander/twinbee collections ) that are exclusivly for japan, PSP is great, but still , it'S all in tastes. I like both PSP and DS/Lite/i. But i would say i'd rather buy a PSP than a DSi for arcade style games (shoot-em-ups). Well...i just hope i get a taste of nanostray before i actualy buy one XD

No GBA Slot is one of the reasons that I will keep my DS Lite if I do get a DSi! Thanks for the inout so far! It seems people are really more on the fence about whether it would be a good idea to upgrade to a DSi or just buy a PSP, however as of now you seem to have me convinced on the DSi side, I'll see if I am proven wrong!
Yes, buy a DSi without hesitation. The GBA Slot removal is the only bad thing about it. You will love the DSi, it is awesome. Make sure you buy Mario & Luigi:Bowser's Inside Story with your DSi if you have not bought a copy already.
I'm still waiting for DSIware to get a reasonable amount of games first, too little variety for me right now add to this there are no DSI exclusive games and I find it hard to justify the purchase, maybe next year though.
