What you get is based on your starter and when they give them to you they are a Lvl. 10 and your starter at that point is usually around Lvl 13 so it is kinda like a secondary starter.

I would say that rocks, but the design for the monkeys is less than great.
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.
Hey guys and gals, looking for advice on who i start with. The only one I'm definately not starting with is Oshawatt because my only friend with a copy of the game has picked him as his starter. I have heard its harder with the grass guy which is plus (and also I will have a type advantage against my mate), but I am really torn because I don't particularly like the look of either.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I'm a Pokemon noob and I'm having a lot of success with Tepig. He's a great all-around fighter, and once you learn the Fire Charge (and get some Charcol) he becomes an unstoppable force against all except water-based pokemon. He's an ugly little thing but he gets the job done.
Haha well maybe I will consider him then. I consider myself fairly good at pokemon (though I do usually end up with fairly weak squads with cool combos) so it would make me want more of a challenge.
Well I started Pokemon White today and I went with Tepig. Since the last Pokemon I played was Pokemon Red on Gameboy and I went with Bulbasaur I decide to go with the Fire one this time.
