@Mariominer It's cool that you figured this out, but these methods (particularly the one to convert to binary) are well known. In fact, the conversion to binary is exactly the one I learned in school. In fact, it's right there on the Wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binary_number#Decimal. I'm sorry if I read that wrong; it just sounded like you thought you came up with the method.
By the way, there's an easier way to convert binary back into decimal (in terms of steps. The math might be harder):
1011010
Each binary digit represents a power of two. If you start from the right, it's 2^0, 2^1, 2^2, etc. You just multiply the power of two by the binary digit in its place, which is either 0 or 1. This number is thus (starting from the right):
0 + 2 + 0 + 8 + 16 + 0 + 64 = 90
All you have to do is start with 1 for 2^0, then continuously multiply it by two (1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, etc.). Then look at each digit in binary and only include the powers of two that count.
Hi peepz! I haven't been on 4 a while. I'm close to finishing my Pong clone. It will be my first actual game! By the way someone like @randomous or @IAmAPersson tell me who joined while I was gone.
If Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat were all destroyed, 90% of teens would go insane. If you're one of the 10% that would be laughing at them, copy & paste this into your signature and hope it happens. Wait was that just a joke?
I found my DSi and I have my progress once more. One thing I need is a nice combat system, and since I'm aiming for a Skyrim-like game, I might as well do real-time combat over turn-based. What does everyone want, real-time or turn-based?
In the meantime, I'll work on the beginning of the game. Basically character creation. Ooh, this'll be tough...
Okay, I have the start going. How will I approach character creation...?
Hey guys! I haven't really posted on here in a while. I haven't had the time to constantly check everything. Anyway, I'm working on a game alongside Minecraft DS now! It will be called: Silence. It will be a scary horror game (A mix between The Witch's House and Amnesia)! The graphics will be about that of an old Zelda game (like Link's Awakening) but the scary factor will be in the style of Amnesia, where you must hide and you can't hurt the monsters. If you get seen, you have three options.
1) Run like there is no tomorrow and hope for a miracle (while peeing yourself at the same time).
2) Die (while peeing yourself at the same time).
3) Rage quit the game and lose all unsaved progress (while peeing yourself at the same time).
Opinions? Comments? Suggestions? I'll also need a bit of help with this game, mainly music. I'm sure @damolii can help with that.
NOTE:This game will NOT use sprites. It will use graphics instead with moving and collision algorithms.
EDIT:I've been working (slowly) on Minecraft DS. My latest addition was 128x128 and 256x256 worlds! (Note: Terrain generation screws up with these map sizes, mainly due to the fact that the terrain generated by drawing graphics, then loading them with GSPOIT. The large maps can't fit on the screen, so they can't be generated properly, they can't be saved, and they can't be loaded.)

As some people may know, I do a ton with graphics, and hardy ever touch sprites or backgrounds. I told some people over at the Petit Computer Wikia that you can do everything and more that sprites can do with graphics, but they didn't believe me. So I made a top-down engine that reads a map data array (settable with some easy-to-read DATA sequences), draws it, and allows you to move with flawless collision. No backgrounds/sprites/etc. were used. Only graphics. Right now, it only supports 2 blocks (walls and doors) and only one room, but I'm improving it to make it work similar to @Randomous's Village game.
Does anyone want these QR codes? Also, this will be the engine I'll be using for Silence.

@IAmAPersson Sure, I can help. @Bluerobin2 Goodluck. You're gonna get everyone addicted to that game if you make it right XD. All but a few people at my school are playing the game
how do i package col files? I type
save "prg","04001"
but it still uses the default color.my sprite is still there tho.i loaded the files before saving to
Judging by the input used, that would save the Upper Screen Sprite Character Slot 0 (SPU0) and the Upper Screen Sprite Color Slot (COL1U), so unless you were adding more, then it's should be saving what you've set. Were those the two you were looking for?
@IAmAPersson can you tell me everything that happened when I was gone?
