My dreams! They be coming true!
Please add polygonal processing..... Pleeeaaaasssseee. If they do, I'd be willing to pay full retail peice for it. They should make it really cool, and make it a cartridge. I would also be happy for online capabilities and an included online gallery that allows users to post games/programs and others to download them straight to their 3ds. Call it the B-shop.

You have to have more than one sprite to have an animation,but to make the animation start,on the touch screen there is a part that says SPANIM and under that are the words cn and wa with numbers in front of them,to make the animation start your press the + that is next to the numbers that is in front of cn,if the animation you are making has only two sprites as the animation,then you tap the + until it is at 2 then you'll see the animation on the top screen in the box with the words SPANIM under it. To make the animation go faster or slower then you just change the numbers in front of wa.

@Bluerobin2 I'd be happy if they just added the ability to work with alpha layers and stuff lol. But 3d processing would be cool.

By the way, even though the 3DS has more power and all that, I still don't see them adding wireless multiplayer options. There are SO many things to account for (latency, data loss, etc.), that either they'd make a generic system that wouldn't really work for all occasions, or they'd let the user have control over it and it wouldn't be a "beginner" thing anymore. Either way, I don't think they'd want it to work like that.

Wow, I'm dumb. This colored lighting thing just isn't going to work well enough to use in a game. I'll just slink away with a defeated demeanor now lol.

Ok, I have figured out a solution for my grid. I use the variables MAPX1 and 2 , and MAPY and 2. There are 2 of each because I need one for each direction. Now if my directional variable goes over the implemented number for any of them, then it goes to a subroutine and so and so on. IT ACTUALLY WORKS!! I can't believe it. I've been working on this problem for a while now, so this is a relief. There's only one glitch, and it's very minor, so I will look over it for now. I'm getting my SD card tomorrow, so I should be able to post a new demo of the RPG then or the next day

Hey. Everyone. Good news. Today I'm working on the new intro for petit smash bros. It may take me a few days. Somone posted me to a very complex math formula I don't think I can use that in my game for two reasons: It's too long and it might cause lag
2: I don't understand that type of math well enough yet.
But I did solve one issue.
If I place my vector on the ground by default at screenx/2, screeny then I can project an upwards angled vector in any direction from that point using only one x and y coordinate (making the origin of the vector static)
This way. The angle can be calculated for any direction. (Hm or) I place the vector at the base of the character. So the origin of the vector is actually the character's last X, Y coord while on ground. Maybe? Dahh.. physics is a bit hard. the angles are easy! but speed and gravity multipliers and knock back multipliers are difficult. We'll see. right now I am going to focus on the game's opening cut scene and title screens.
I want this to look awesome. Hopefully I don't mess I'm adding samus sprites today..
For ease of development I'm making the cut scene in the same codebase inside of a subroutine. Yay.. I'm so brilliant :/ Anyone wanna live chat while I work? I'm going in now. see you there if you decide to otherwise, you might have to wait a day or two (depending on my pace today) to get a sneak peak at V1.2's new cut scenes. It's going to be awesome since V1.1 didn't even /have/ cut scenes. I'm adding samus and link fully today as well as bomb sprites (atleast) for link, jumping, laying down animation frames for mario link and for samus a full array of move animations if I can. . You'll all be surprised at how far I go with the cut scene. that's why it may take a few days... I'm guessing at atleast 300 to 500 new lines of code.. depending. Just for cut scene. (EEKS!) i'm really taking up alot of code.
It's ok! Even with PTC's code limitations if I run into issues I'll seperate the whole cut scene as a seperate program then do "loading" and have it clear and load the game's actual code. :3

no. I'm going to try re importing his pallete and changing some things about the jumping and punching. His animation might play differently but I think if I put the jumping and punching into the exact same sprite sheet it'll be fine. The problem was I had seperated it from the other sprite sheet and I don't think the same pallete is compatible. I have this issue with multiple sprites even though their pallete is similiar.
I'm focusing more on the intro and title screen and how I'm going to add in new characters right now. Don't worry.
V1.2 is a HUGE update I might have even bit off more than I can chew but i'm trying to get it done.
I'm closer to having some of it done now than I am before because of my experimenting and fiddling with physics. I actually have a greater idea of how the maths going to work (NOTE: I'm not too worried about visual bugs right now even though I know I should be. )
as it is I have a humerous bug I have to fix because the mario on the title screen is a different mario from the one you play as but I'm adding a stage select so I'll probably create a @cleanup function which stops all sprite animations, and stops drawing sprites.

Ah, too much delay. I was playing Phantom Hourglass for a bit, I might download Dragon Quest and/or Final Fantasy. I prefer Final Fantasy, but everyone loves Dragon Quest IX and IV. I will get to SPANIM stuff now, how exactly do I load a CUSTOM sprite? Not one of those default ones-custom.

I don't know what to do with Petit Computer anymore. I wish i could make better games than text games,i just have no idea how,and i don't what to ask because i've never programmed a language before. So i have no idea what to ask to help me figure out how to make non text games.
