My parents have decided to give me a SD card!!! I've heard there are different sizes though. If that is true, what should I look for.

While the size of an SD card is important, you also need to get the highest speed card that you can get. The speed rating can (but not always) make a big difference to reading from and writing to the card. Most standard cards are rated 4 and above. The higher the number, the faster the card. I'd recommend any SD card with 4GB or more and a speed rating of 4 or more. New 3DS's come with 4GB, which should be enough to keep you going for a fair while. Be aware however that the more data is on your card the longer it takes your 3DS to startup, as it reads everything, including items in folders, and displays programs and some content on the Home screen.
Are people like TheDreamingHawk still here and posting? That...would..be..cool. I just haven't seen the past programmers post here anymore and wondered if they just left their accounts alone or something.
I don't think thedreamerhawk ever did much with this.

Thanks.I use a Dsi though so... but anyway, my question is is there a particular size SD card you should get??
I don't have a 3DS so what do I put here? -Damolii
A 4GB will be enough and you can pick them up for less than $5/£5. I would always recommend Kingston cards - they seem to be the most reliable, but they're all pretty good on the whole.

Ok. Thank you very much!!

Along with Minecraft DS, I have started work on something else. For all of you who like programming in C, C++, etc., I am making a C compiler in SmileBASIC!
It is not much yet. All it does right now is recognize some basic commands like #include, printf, int, etc. But it also will provide a template for other compilers! Just change a few syntax rules and commands, and it can be a C++ or a Java compiler!
If Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat were all destroyed, 90% of teens would go insane. If you're one of the 10% that would be laughing at them, copy & paste this into your signature and hope it happens.
Oh no. Guys, this is off-topic, but I need help bad. How do I crash a hacker's game on Minecraft online servers? Someone is hacking and I swore I would retaliate.
Hack into the server yourself and tempban/ban them. Not recommended, though. The only other thing I can think of is to report it to server owners.

No problem. Be aware - NEVER buy an SD card on eBay, especially from Chinese sellers - the cards they sell are often fake and/or not the size advertised. Use reputable dealers that you know and trust.

I'd go for 16 GB. Most brand should work fine. Microcenter has their own brand that is cheap and works well. Another thing about SD card is that most are geared toward sequential read/write. Samsung brand, supposedly, has good random access read/write. I don't know if that would make a difference in DSi. With 3DS, get a fast card (class 10) for 3D Video. Then again, I didn't pay attention much to class, just price.
For 3DS, I went 32 GB, just because I know the operating system can handle it. Start ups does get slower, but not by much. I don't mind a couple extra seconds in boot up.

Are you sure you don't mean interpreter?
Looks like it. I need as much knowledge of C as possible. For Ghost Scrolls.

Samsung SD cards are no better or faster than cheaper similar classed cards from experience. The difference is negligible. As for card size, obviously get the biggest you can afford. 4GB is a minimum, and will keep you going for a while.
@Swordx are you gonna keep that beginning thing where the two crossed swords drop and explode then it says Swordx gaming? Cause i like itin DA,and it should be a thing in all of your games.

Yeah, it's a last minute thing that I decided to use to show which games I made.
