How is it? It certainly looks good.

Just let it happen.

Just to let those of you who don't know, air race:tunnel is just a demo of another dsiware game coming out for 800 points, which i think that ones just called air race though

another game made with the same engine=demo?
being one about evading obstacles in narrow tunnels and the other being a racing game.

not necessarily, i guess u could just do like a thousand laps of, because the course is probably just looping in the demo

i think its random, you go around inside the tunnel with random obstacles and things get faster with the time, as you can see, the goal is to get a score.

ahhh yes, i see what your saying, so i guess there are some differences, but not enough differences to where I will buy air race AND air race tunnel

well, i guess if you get both, you can play a quick tunnel if you dont feel like racing or something. almost as if it were an extra mode of the main game, just in a separate package.
i actually find the tunnel concept more appealing to me (mostly because i hate racing games), but i cant say i know much about either game

maybe the dev planned both games as a single one, but didnt wanted to sell a single game for 1000 points?

I think it's easier play using the button than the stylus, it has left handed option too.

Oh, and here I thought they were two different games.

So is anybody going to say whether or not it's any good? Not that everything you're going on about isn't incomprehensibly appreciated. It really, REALLY is.

This game is simply about dodging trap (or you can say enter a hole - that's spinning) in a tunnel and your plane is going faster. The control is nice but I don't really like the graphic (not so smooth I think). For 200 points, I think it's a good time waster (consider another game with 200 points).

I just bought it, and man, its hard.
or maybe im just bad.

You start with two tunnels, alpha and beta, and you unlock other 2 tunnels (gamma and delta) after beating these two, and another one (epsilon) after clearing these other two, the sixth tunnel, tunnel infinity unlocks after clearing either alpha or beta, and as the name indicates, its infinite, unlike the other 5 tunnels, which have a preset lenght.

The obstacles are random, and as the instructions say, each other level has two or three phases, i guess these are checkpoints, but im plain bad enough to never reach any of these yet.

Loading screens have small tips, one of them got stuck in my brain: "Even the slightest mistake will be punished", theyre not kidding, even the smallest bit of wing touching an obstacle is a sure death.

The game is fairly good for 200 points!, i think it could have gone by as a 500 points game without anyone saying anything, its simple fun, perfect for short gaming sessions. It is a little hard for me, though.

I have no regets this time, unlike when i bought castle of magic.

I hope i helped.

edit: just make yourself a favor and set the controls to "buttons" and "inverted" before you start playing.
edit2: just beated alpha, i feel so good right now. it seems each pair of levels features a unique plane design, as the ones in infinity and gamma are different. Infinity level looks like the matrix, all black and green haha, the plane is also smaller than the one in the other levels, but the obstacles are bigger.

i give it a 8/10, so much better than our other fly-while-avoiding-obstacles game in the service, and at the same price too, it can get frustrating, though.
if you dont even have people to race with, save yourself 600 points and buy this one instead of AiRace.

Thanks abgar, great review! I don't know what's taking Nintendo Life so long to review something so simple. I think I'll download it. Thanks again.

Is this anything like the tunnel level in Throium Wars? Because that level was mind numbingly frustrating.
