Topic: FIRST and Corbie's favourite number 7 comments

For a while now we’ve had a epidemic of reader comments posted on new reviews such as this:

This is the first time I have heard of this game.

and

Ooh a 6, doesn’t Corbie normally give out 7s? LOLz

Frankly these comments are getting a bit tedious now. We’d like to hope that we can achieve a higher standard of reader interaction than the average crappy comment that sites like YouTube are plagued with.

Our reviewers spend a lot of time playtesting a game then writing up their thoughts for you guys. It’s a bit of a slap in the face to the reviewer to leave these comments within a minute of the review going up as if it’s a race to be the first to comment. We'd like to stimulate some intelligent debate about the game in question, not just find ourselves reliving the same in-jokes between a minority of readers.

As for Corbie’s favourite number 7. Those comments are getting old too. We like a joke as much as the next person, but this one is getting stale.

From now on when we notice these comments they will be deleted. Repeat offenders may find themselves getting banned from commenting on Nintendo Life.
