We all know Amiibo have been a huge win for Nintendo but I think the one thing missing Nintendo's line up right now is a Skylanders/Disney Infinity type game that works with their Amiibo. My ideal game would be a Captain N:The Game Master game that would be a combo of Kingdom Hearts, Disney Infinity and Tomb Raider.
Setting & plot: Videoland. Kevin Keene (Captain N) finds himself pulled into and trapped in Videoland, think the Kingdom Hearts Universe but instead of Disney worlds its full of worlds based on Nintendo Franchise's - The Mushroom Kingdon, Hyrule, Kalos, Tallon, Hoshido and Nohr etc.... In the series Motherbrain is the main villain, though I think I'd go with one of the lesser known villains, why not take the opportunity to build up a character? Maybe Wart or Agahnim or Majora or Phantoonetc..... has united the rest of Nintendo's villains to take over each world, and ultimately Videoland. Captain N must travel from world to world, defeating the villains and ultimately defeating Motherbrain.
Gameplay: I'd make the game a semi-open world. Each Nintendo world would be a large hub, with enemies, collectables etc... of its own with branches into linear set pieces that need to be cleared to progress the story. Captain N would be able to switch between using his Zapper for Range attacks and his power glove for melee. I'm sure the developers at Nintendo could come up with interesting ways to use the controller on his belt, there could be travel opens, rewinding time opens, the player could gain franchise specific/theme'd abilities that tie into it etc...
Amiibo: The key/main selling point of the game. Captain N would have a 2 person party to fight with him, similar to Donald and Goofy in Kingdom Hearts. The game would come with Princess Lana & Duke (from the TV series), however early on Captain N would gain an object/the ability to call other heroes/amiibo to replace Lana & Duke as his allies. The player could tap the Amiibo to the Wii U tablet and replace one of their party with the Amiibo character instead.
Nintendo aren't going to make a game based on IP that they do not own. Nintendo's own Captain Rainbow would be a far more likely protagonist (I believe the game on Wii features a lot of crossing over with other Nintendo IP, much like the concept that you are proposing), but considering that Captain Rainbow has never been released outside of Japan (and only the most diehard of Nintendo fans would be aware of him), I highly doubt that such a game would be on the cards... not with amiibo anyway.
Porygon did nothing wrong.
