@shaneoh: The release date is today and I haven't heard of any game that didn't become available on eShop on the right day. I'm guessing it'll be available at 4PM since that's when eShop updates on Thursdays and that weird cat tower defense game was also released at 4PM yesterday. I think they should do midnight release for all retail games since you have to wait half of the day otherwise while others with physical games can play already. I'm from Europe so I don't have any other way of getting the game.
Here's some ZE pixel art I made for the Thank You Zero Escape project:
@Late
Well LEGO Star Wars is released tomorrow, but I believe it is coming out on the eshop on Thursday. I don't think retail release matters to eshop release.
@shaneoh: Both ZTD and LEGO Star Wars say "Available from 28th June" in the latest Nintendo download update while The Battle Cats POP! says "Available from 27th June" and it was released yesterday on the eShop. And I've previously downloaded some games that came on Friday but they were midnight releases.
I'm really pissed currently. First they have maintenance which was extended by more than 4 hours and now the game is still not available. I went to bed at 6 pm yesterday to be fully awake when it releases. Seems like I have to wait another 6 hours now...
Me too! I had to clear out a lot of data to fit it in - one of the downsides to digital only. I got rid of a few demos I wasn't playing any more, but it still wasn't enough. Then I went into my extra data folder and found that Nintendo Video was still taking up 2000+ blocks on my 3DS!
I won't have time to play it today, unfortunately, but I look forward to getting my teeth into it tomorrow.
@edhe: My sister had to delete Street Fighter IV to make room for ZTD. She needs to upgrade her SD card.
Switched voice to Japanese and played for an hour. Not sure how I feel about the cutscenes yet. I'll probably stay out of this thread for a while since I'm afraid of someone spoiling something, purposefully or by an accident.
LOL. I'm about two hours in, and characters are already casually referencing some one of the biggest twists from VLR. This game is way less beginner friendly than that one was.
Oh wow, now stuff from 999 is being casually tossed around in conversations. I can only imagine how confusing this game would be if I hadn't played the previous two. This really feels like a proper continuation of those first two games.
As to the violence in this game... it almost never seems to be explicitly shown, but there is some really, really brutal stuff happening off-screen. I'm only three hours in and have gotten a fair number of game overs. This is giving me Corpse Party vibes.
Gamestop is trying to get the games out on time to people who ordered the bonus watch edition, but Amazon is bungling even normal editions of ZTD. What a mess.
This blue eye perceives all things conjoined. The past, the future, and the present. Everything flows and all is connected. This eye is not merely seen reality. It is touching the truth. Open the eye of truth... There is nothing to fear.
I'm stumped on a puzzle, and I'm wondering if anyone can help me - it's in the manufacture(?) room with Diane, Phi and Sigma. I'm at the part where I have to activate the robots by zapping the nodes in the correct order, but I seem to be misinterpreting the clues.
Anyway, there are 5 nodes:
Here is the note that I believe tells me how to solve it:
From far left, 4 right...
1 left...
2 left...
4 right...
and 3 left...
That leaves 1 node left, but the note says "Boot Up!". Whether I activate the last node or press the 'BACK' button, it always end in failure. What am I doing wrong? Can anyone give me a hint (short of telling me the exact solution) as to what I'm missing?
I should add, this is a fantastic game. I really enjoyed VLR - even if I had to resort to using a guide (particularly for the q room - particularly for the dice puzzle), and I'd like to avoid doing that in this one.

I'm getting through it. Apart from that early game puzzle I just couldn't understand, I've managed to get through without consulting a guide.
Oh, apart from that damned laser puzzle in the reactor room. If anyone is struggling on that, I can provide the solution.
Did anyone else have trouble with it? I found it particularly tricky, because I have colour blindness, and couldn't tell the difference between a tiny yellow dash and a tiny green (it's always lime green in these games!) dash. I had read a tip that said you needed to sort out the yellow laser first, but I just couldn't tell which input was the yellow one...
