Ive literally deleted everything on my SD card so I can download pokemon X but still I' don't have enough room but if I delete the streetpass update data I will is it worth it?

if you delete ONLY the update data you won't lose anything(though the app will be unusable until you update again) and it opens a fewblocks though unless you have some other games that can't be backed up you probably don't need to go that far.

you can delete the update just fine.
just remember to delete only the update not the rest of the streetpass data. I was in the same situation until I got my new SD card. you won't lose anything from streetpass mii plaza, all you'll have to do is update again when you get a new SD card.

What is the exact same model of Lexar SHDC as used in the 3DS XL ? (I need to update mine but want the exact same type but either 16GB or 32GB depending on price).

They have a higher speed Sandisk 16GB for $18.99
