Fire Emblem: Awakening
-> It was the first game I played on the 3DS and I really love everything about it. To me it still is the perfect game
Paper Mario: Sticker Star
-> Cannot agree with the people complaining about it as the worst Paper Mario since I never played another one. Really loved the artstyle and it was a lot of fun with the different worlds, stickers and gameplay, though it was a little short.
Pokemon Omega Ruby
-> I really loved the original editions. Though it still is not completely in 3D and not that hard to win, it is at least slightly harder (in my opinion) than X/Y and just an awesome remake and game in itself.
Among the eshop-games I got to recommend:
-> Siesta Fiesta (totally addicting and well made)
Not finished, but good impressions so far:
Legend of Zelda - A Link between worlds
Luigi's Mansion - Dark Moon
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (if you like games like that)
Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy
Shovel Knight (eshop)
Virtue's Last Reward
If you're into Japanese RPGs, I implore you to give Fantasy Life a shot. Recently Jeremy Parish wrote an article that pretty much encapsulates what I think about how underrated this game is (read it here: http://www.usgamer.net/articles/2014-recap-fantasy-life-and-t... ).
Another big surprise I had was Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. I didn't expect to enjoy it half as much as I did.
Other big hits for me are Fire Emblem: Awakening (probably my overall favorite, but the OP already played this one), A Link Between Worlds, and Bravely Default.
Then there are the eShop all stars, such as Shovel Knight and Steamworld Dig.
1st- Kid Icarus uprising
2nd- Link between worlds
3rd- Luigis mansion 2
4th- Fire emblem Awakening
To be be honest there aren't really that many other 3DS games that i care about anymore, these few are the ones that stuck with me and i would gladly play again.
Proud Samus main for ssb4!
Hyped for Capt. Toad, Yoshis woolly world, Mario maker and splatoon in the first half of 2015
Wii U, 3DS and PS4 owner
Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7. One happens to be my favourite Mario platformer since the SNES-era, and the other is my favourite game in the Mario Kart series.
The only other games I own for the system are Star Fox 64 3D and Tales of the Abyss.
My game library ranges from Mario Kart to Call of Duty to Tales of Xillia to Diablo 3 to Forza. To me gaming is about having fun - not blindly supporting only one company while thumbing your nose at "the evil other systems."
I like most of the games I have for my 3DS, but these are the best:
Kid Icarus: Uprising
Super Smash Bros. 3DS
Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Pokemon ORAS
Luigi's Mansion 2/Dark Moon
Mario Kart 7
Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney
Shovel Knight (eShop)
Pullblox/Pushmo (eShop)
Pokemon X/Y was great till I realized the Meta was broke and couldn't play for fun anymore. I didn't care to win or lose, but to continue losing for a long time really can upset people. Then OR/AS came. Pfft... And that sold it. I may never play a new gen pokemon again till Mega's are removed.
Wavedashes behind you Got some of dat Maylay?

Luigi's Mansion 2/Dark Moon. I love many other games, but this one... this one feels the most ambitious. The one that's most like a full console game rather than some side project Nintendo released in order to fill up a slot in the planner.
Mario & Luigi Dream Team would be a close second, for simply being the ideal sequel; more of the last game except with better gameplay, graphics and music. Compared to the trainwreck that was Sticker Star... that's something to appreciate.
Animal Crossing: New Leaf is at the top of my list. Excellent game, love the changes that were made and hope to see a new Animal Crossing for wii u! Pokemon Y, Smash, and Super Mario 3D Land are great games as well.
