Topic: Tales of The Abyss 3DS Impressions

I'm having trouble fighting spoiler Ancylopolyp /spoiler

Is there no way I can escape from the cave and come back when I've leveled up? I could level up inside the cave but I'm worried that with nowhere to heal I'll get myself stuck in a situation where my characters have little health and low tp to fight with. Is there a healing save spot in the cave?

I need to get back into playing Tales of The Abyss! It's been completely rejected due to my 27 hour Skyward Sword playtime and my 35 hour MK7 Playtime! I think Tales only got about 9. How far have people got into the game? According to the NLife review it's very long. Plus, anyone else find that play time flies by? I thought I'd played about 2 hours but I've actually played 9! And, Luke is an awesome main character!

Tales of games usually average 50-60 hours, without doing side quests and with minimal grinding. You really do have a ways to go.

@Mickeymac As I said I'll be getting this for Christmas and it took me 65 hours to beat Symphonia while doing some but not all of the sidequests so how long do you think it will take for me to beat this?

50 hours at least. Probably more than 60 if you're doing some Side Quests.

I'm right near the end of the story and I've spent 70 hours on it(doing a lot of sidequests)... it's rare that I play a game for this long!

I didn't have any trouble getting the game last Saturday. I had to ask for it behind the counter (since it wasn't on the shelf) but aside from that I got the game. She actually said that they hadn't sold any copies of the game. I imagine it would help sales if it were put out on the shelf...

Then when I was heading back I looked into another gamestop and they had a bunch of them sitting at the front of the store with the other 3DS games.

Why an American wants to buy a Euro-version? The 3DS is region locked.

I like to keep an eye on the sales of the Tales series. This is the last chance we may ever get to convince Namdai that it's worth bringing the series over to the west.

just defeated largo and sync for the first time. i love the strategy evolved in this game it's much funny then just hacking and slashing at your enemy's

btw there were like 15 copys at my local jb-hifi i picked one up without a problem

actaully theres tales of graces F but only the ps3 version coming in march 3 or 13 but i'll be getting Tales of abyss and F as soon as they both come out here

If you're still stuck on that I'm fairly sure the save point nearby heals the party when you step into it.

If I have to choose between this and revelations i'm going with this. Something tells me this is going to hard to find soon.
