(I couldn't find a SteamWorld Dig topic. Wut? I thought for sure there'd be one...)
OK so I'm playing SteamWorld Dig, and it tells me to "explore the old world". ...However, there's no little red spot on the map telling me what to do; I just wanna make sure I didn't miss anything... as far as I can tell I'm just supposed to keep digging...?
@The-Wind-Pikpik: Alright thanks, that's what I thought.
All these little glowing dots and directions in games have ruined my sense of exploration, lol.
(you guys feel free to make this into the general SteamWorld Dig thread if you want)

There is one. I remember from a while back, the guy who made the game advertised it via there (or something like that) and people were talking about how it was surprisingly good. Not that it matters, of course. Well, I don't think so... I'll never figure out the policies on reviving old threads and stuff. Edit: Yeah, here it is. Thank god; I thought I was going crazy for a second there.

Was really stuck between purchasing Steam World Dig or Cave Story (Which were both on sale). I've always know Cave Story was a great game but never looked into it, I looked at both reviews and quickly saw that both lengths of the games differed. I'm really really into long games, and Cave Story turned out to be a great decision on my part.
Though I still do want to play Steam World, the reply value looks really nice.
Ahh... so I just went very slightly deeper, and... little red dot shows up on the map. ^_^"
...I need to be more patient when it comes to gaming!
Far be it from me to tell you how to play the game or anything, but I will say that it is worth exploring, and not just following the markers.
Again, play whichever way you prefer, but I don't want you to think that this is one of those games with a "right way" and a "wrong way." There's a "right way" and "lots of other stuff worth enjoying along the way."
Edit: Yeah, here it is. Thank god; I thought I was going crazy for a second there.
Holy crud, do you have any idea how long I looked for that...? Good to know I'm not going crazy either...
Did you try the search bar?
