I totally agree, Philip! It's a fun game, and a great way to show off your new 3DS XL to buddies

Yeah, keep rubbing it in. I'm sure it's an even better experience on the XL. Right now I'm about halfway done with the fourth set of stages. Honestly, even if I decide I hate the other modes, I've already gotten my money's worth here. Such a nice surprise, and it's keeping me from even trying Toki Tori!

I enjoy the concept and longevity of this game, but it is just like vector racing where you have to ignore the Double vision. Wish it wasn't an issue

anybody who downloaded it and can say how it plays?

If you've played the cell phone version of this, it's really not the same game. The 3DS version is actually significantly better in almost every respect. This game was made for 3D, and if you happen to have a 3DS XL, it looks especially sharp on the new display. While motion controls work well for the game, the circle pad offers a new level of control that is more precise and frankly superior to the motion controls, especially with 3D activated. Overall though, I would highly suggest Speedx 3D. It is that rare score attack arcade game on which you actually want to set the high score. Speeding through the cubes and beams of this electronic superhighway is actually quite addicting, and more than justifies the $4 asking price.

SpeedX 3D (NA release) is currently in 4th place in "All User Ratings" for All Software. Base on the customer ratings, SpeedX 3D is the best game to download on the Nintendo eShop.

That's weird. When I look, it doesn't even show up in All User Ratings for 3DS downloads, never mind All Software. The only ratings it has are one 4 and one 5. I'm surprised more people haven't played it for an hour to rate it by now.

If you're 3DS is Canadian, the eShop is probably only counting the ratings from Canadian owners. In North America, SpeedX 3D currently has 34 ratings.

Canada is in North America. If they're separating the ratings for each country though, I wish they wouldn't, because some games have so few ratings it's rather meaningless.

I gave it a 4 star rating. When I rated it, there were only twelve ratings, all 5 stars. Does anyone know how long it takes to see your rating on there? I checked it after I rated it and my rating wasn't on there.

Anyways, for less than the price of lunch, this is definitely a nice game to have on your 3DS. Aside from the obvious problems of no leaderboards and no easy way to check your high scores, the actual game is really fun to play. When you play endless for a while without losing and the game starts putting tons of obstacles in front of you, one right after the other, it's a real rush. I dig it.

I know the game has pop in, but the way I look at it, it feels like the futuristic track is being made in front of you. As in, it doesn't exist until you drive on it and it's starts forming. Does anyone else look at it this way?

I was actually a bit disappointed with the game when I first downloaded it, mainly because all the modes are very similar, but the more I play it the more I like it.

well it is like that. the track literally builds up in front of you. it is random all the time.

dunno how long it takes till a ranking is online.

Yeah, I'm not really a fan of the background music either. I would have preferred a couple songs you could choose from.

Wow, just checked the US eShop and that's where all the ratings are — wish I'd known this when I was hunting for games before, although people rate so generously the ratings are hard to go off. Well, at least now I probably don't need to worry about whether those few ratings on the Canadian eShop are from the devs, since they probably don't even care about us enough to bother.

My first impressions are everything is better than I was expecting (except maybe the audio, currently using speakers so haven't paid attention to it.) Imo it looks a lot better when brightness --and obviously 3D-- are all the way up. The quality is much much better than the eshop video, so if you've never cared about framerates in other games, then you won't with this one either.

Edit: When I use headphones, I turn the music down to 10%...

This is a very fun game to play, imho. The only problem is, after completing a couple of rounds, you feel really dizzy haha I'd give this a 7 or 8/10 though after playing it for the past few days. Great game, great design, the 3D is spot on and no frame rate issues as far as I know. I'm playing this on my 3DS XL and it's all consuming and so much fun with a bigger screen!

Oh, Philip! You MUST play Toki Tori! It's a fun game, too! I am currently playing those two, PLUS Coin Rush on NSMB2 -and- get this, I'm also playing Africa Unleashed lol It's the best prescription to get over my ex who dumped me 3 days ago. (Not specifically the killing of animals I mean!)

Even if the Kangaroo game is made by Gamelion, It's still another game and another attempt to redeem themselves. Two Tribes and other companies visit here all the time and act nice and friendly, but @kawka simply going on Cho's site and whining over his game not getting a good review is just inexcusable.

And from what I've seen on youtube, Cho's points are right, but seeing how I'm not going to waste $4 on this game, I can't play for myself.

I think we're getting a little carried away with this Kawka guy. I don't think what he did was a big deal. It's just one guy on the development team anyways. I highly doubt every person that develops the games we buy are joyous and wonderful people. And you know how I feel about that review, so I really can't blame the guy. Cut him a little slack.

Well, it's fine if he was a normal employee, but he is the head of GameLion Studios. Which is unexceptable.

I mean, Two tribes would probably send Toki Tori and his family out to beat up NL if NL gave it a 1/10, but would they say "OMG YOU SUCK AS A REVIEWER MAI GAME IS BETTAR"? No, they would probably be shocked and mad, but that would be it. Having the Gamelion head do that to cho is pretty bad on his part.
