Topic: Sonic the Hedgehog 2 3D

I haven't seen any topic about this game so I create this one because the game very well deserves it. In my opinion, the best Sonic games ever made are Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles because of their gameplay, visuals and level design. The three of them have great soundtracks, as well. Mega Collection (GameCube, PS2, Xbox, Windows) is a perfect collection for us Europeans that suffered the watered-down PAL versions back in the 16-bit days. The 3DS versions made by M2 have that cool 3D effect. I am just wondering if we'll ever get Sonic 3/Knuckles 3D for Nintendo's latest handheld. I hope so, but Sonic 3D was released two years ago! With Sonic The Hedgehog 3D launching this week, two years from now would mean late 2017. I don't know if Sega -or any developer- would still be interested in Nintendo 3DS in late 2017. Discuss.

I kind of doubt that we'll see Sonic 3 & Knuckles on 3DS, but it could happen and I may buy it too. I bought 3D Sonic the Hedgehog yesterday and played through it twice. I just don't know how much longer the 3D Sega series will go on for.

M2's 3D Sonic the Hedgehog was better than I expected. It's sad if we don't get the whole 16 bit series though.

I'd prefer Sonic CD next as said previously who knows how many left will even get.

Is the nice little CRT tuve effect still in Sonic 2 3D like in Sonic 1? That might push me a bit to get this. It's just kind of hard to plop $6 on this game when you can get it on almost any console, usuallly cheaper.

Anyone else ran into the bug (I assume it's a bug) on Wing Fortress? There's a part where those zip trolley things fling you back and forth across an endless pit. Well sometimes they don't work and just randomly throw you down the pit!

That's in the original game. You have to jump while getting flung around to get out of it.

I know. But that's not the problem I'm having. The problem I'm having is that the left-hand trolley isn't flinging me at all. It's throwing me straight down the hole instead of across it.

Is this game just as 3D as the trailer for it in the eShop is? It's barely 3D
