I'm gonnna try and do a comparison video today of this game on 3ds vs Wii u gamepad

it's called bonus edition in the Untied States, in the United Kingdom, it's called limited edtion, I have no idea why they changed it, but whatever.

@Barbiegurl777 The bonus edition contains Metal Sonic with his modifications, the Outrun course with challenges and more stickers for your in game license, so for the same price as the normal edition, I would say get this version, but if you find the game cheaper, then get it cheaper.

Also, who agrees that Ristar should have been in the game...............as a racer and not the flagman?

Thanks for the comparison video! The 3DS version is actually looking pretty dang good imo, and it's about half the price of the Wii version (or at least it is here :/)

Can many people here see themselves playing this online?

@Magikarp I'll most definitely be playing online. Getting it wednesday, and will have a blast. Take a guess who I will race as.

Tried playing online last night but no one was on it but it is new, hopefully it will pick up as I would like to see what its like online

@PinkSpider Tuesday, but I'm getting it Wednesday, and I need a few days to train, so roughly a week.

So I caved and it's downloading right now. The ~6000 or so blocks is going to put a huge dent in my SD card, so I hope it'll be worth it. I'll probably be reppin' Beat, or maybe B.D. Joe! It's a shame that Ryo Hazuki didn't make a return though

I hope you like it @magikarp. if you can get past the frame rate issues sometimes you will find a really fun racing game.
personally im loving it i was unsure at first but when you think what its trying to do cram everything that the console versions are doing its pretty good really

I wonder what NLife will give the game, I'm thinking a 5 or 6 out of 10
I have only seen official Nintendos review they gave it 68% but then they gave the wii u version about the same. I was surprised by such a low review from ONM for the console version guess if it was made by Nintendo they would have scored it higher there such a proper biast magazine

I just checked the 3DS version, it looks good, but I noticed that Ristar is missing, where is he, this sorta upsets me because I remember sending people swapnotes when the game was first announced, and to quote what I said "If Ristar is in the game, then i'll play as him the most online" and the reason Ristar is not a playable character is because they couldn't animate his back right for some reason.............which is just a black circle, I have the Wii U version, but i'm still not sure if i'll get the 3DS version.

Can anybody tell me how many save slots this has?

It has just a single save slot, and it autosaves @invmat .

This game is... well, I hate to say it's an inferior port but that's what it feels like at the moment The good thing is that it has all the content the HD consoles have (besides exclusive characters of course), but there are some glitches which lets it down. Boat controls feel especially weird, and if you go from a high jump into water, your boat might get submerged for a second, glitch and then send you in some random direction at some random speed. Hitting a solid object, like an island, at high speed can cause you to get stuck. And worst of all, in the NIGHTS track, one time the teleporter failed to work, leaving all the AI drivers stuck in the tiny gap between the teleporter and the rock behind it.

It's a shame, because the rest of the game is absolutely superb. Especially the track design, which is so fresh and ambitious that I can't help but smile while racing.

EDIT: The online framework wasn't too great, but I assume it'd be better while playing with friends. Speaking of which, FC's, anyone?
