I know its a little too early to discuss this but since the game is coming out tomorrow and the fact that most of us are excited about this game, I thought I'd do this subject.

For those unaware, Rusty's Real Deal Baseball is one of Nintendo's first attempt to make free games the other being Steel Diver: Sub Wars(I'd recommend that you get the game if you want online experiences!)

The reason why I'm excited for this is because its about baseball and I like baseball even though I never got the chance to play it. Also the fact that these games are very simple and look really fun.

Whether this game will have multiplayer or online doesn't matter to me personally although its a bonus if done right, but rather the fact that these games look really fun and can be bought for four dollars or cheaper if you want to bargain.

After so long...I'm back. Don't ask why

I'm pretty disappointed that Nintendo's first foray into baseball in ages is a series of mini-games. Bleh.

I am excited for this. I am not into sports, (although our dad loved baseball, so we played when we were younger ) but I like seeing a new Nintendo IP and I plan to support it with more than words. I am also very curious to see how the haggling works.

I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

I'll look into it, if the prices go down enough through haggling I may bite. But the $4 shown per game is too high for a minigame for me when the money could go towards something else I want.

I really doubt this game will feature actual baseball.

From the looks of it, it will focus on baseball-related activities that feel good. Like making consecutive home runs, hitting the ball, etc.

Like getting to third base. That's definitely the first DLC I'll be haggling about with Rusty.

Thanks for the impressions. I will get it as soon as I get home. How many blocks does it take?

Second opinion here: not a bad game, don't expect much gameplay for free but the first "minigame" is fun, there's more content than you would expect in each minigame, think Nintendo Land, lots of levels (50 in the first minigame) and endless modes, and various collectables (like Mii outfits). While the surface shows $40 for everything (the price of a retail game), but it appears you can get it all for $20 if you play it right (and the game is pretty good at helping you do so). The nice thing is you don't have to buy everything and risk losing interest halfway, if you get bored then stop paying for games, you get what you choose to pay for. The presentation is cute too, adding some story to the overall package... Personally, if you're on the fence, just download it and try it. If the "demo" isn't enough for you to decide but you're still curious, drop a couple dollars for the first game. What's $2, a cup of coffee? Not even that (I think, I don't drink coffee). If you're bored by the end of the first game, just don't get any more. If you like it, you can do worse for a $20 budget game. It's not for everyone but it's not a bad game.

I really liked this. The whole thing is just so silly and funny and I loved it and the characters.

There's a story that progresses as you buy games, but only some games work for that (they are marked with a key).

The haggling process is more of an Ace Attorney minigame, where you need to present items and say the right things in the right moment to get the lowest price (which seems to be 2 dollars for most of the games).

The games themselves are pretty nice and complete, like modern game&watch games.

I don't think I'll be buying all the games any time soon, but I did the initial purchase already. It's less of a "paywall" and more of a "the demo is over, please buy the game".

In the end, this really feels like a software shop.

I haggled my first game down to $2, and the second down to $1.90. I suppose that's what everyone else has managed?

Meh, the game is ok. I downloaded and paid two bucks for one of the games. Might try and get the You make the call one, that's about it.
