Yeah this game is a great 1st 3DS game IMO. The bright environments, and the little touches like butterflies flying out of the screen really show off what the 3ds can do
Argh, somebody convince me to get Rayman 3D. I mean I loved the PS1 SideScroller original growing up, so I do have some crazy nostalgia and love for the 2D Original, while I completely missed out on Rayman 2 growing up. I guess all of these negative reviews are making me think twice. Ridge Racer and Monkey Ball are the two others i can't make my mind up with.
I'm loving the hell out of all three of those games and, in my opinion, all of them are beautiful games on the 3DS and they are fun.
As a 3D platformer how does Rayman 3D stack up against Super Mario 64 from a gameplay and level design standpoint hehe?
It's not quite as good, but it's still decent. Nowadays, it's pretty easy compared to other 3D platformers, but it's still pretty fun to play. I'm basing my views on the N64 Rayman, not the 3DS version (though they're pretty similar)
Everything I read about this game on various blogs and game review sites is outright negative. I still can't decide if I should buy this game or not.
have you ever played Rayman before? I haven't. And I'm having a great time =] I think it's a great game.. but I suppose for someone who has played it before... it might be different
My games store gave it to me to test it for a day, I'll have to give it back tomorrow, and so I'm a bit rushing it, but I quite like it Still, I played it for about 2 hours and it looks like I'm halfway there. The 3D is quite good, though sometimes the really close things come in the way ... The camera is sometimes a chore, but not too much. The music is good and I quite like the loading screens that pop out without a real warning : reminds me of the CD-Rom years All in all, it is a great game, not perfect, but good nonetheless.
