My two cents on the new Pokémon:

Nekkoala
Type: Normal
Finally a Koala Pokémon! It's classification is the 'half-awake Pokémon'. This could be somewhat like Munna, Snorlax or Slakoth. Does the tree stump it clinches to mean that it will evolve into a Normal/Grass-type.

Iwanko
Type: Rock
We caught a small glimpse of this canine Pokémon in an early trailer released last month. I think I'm not the only one who suspected this to be a Normal-type creature, but it turns out it's actually a Rock-type. I was kind of surprised. It certainly looks nothing like your typical Rock-type Pokémon. I suspect this to be a creature you find early on in the game.

Also: Zygarde's new forms will finally appear in a video game!

Unnamed bird Pokémon - Presumably an early Normal/Flying-type like Pidgey

Solgaleo - Psychic/Steel - Legendary Pokémon. Mascot for Sun.

Lunala - Psychic/Ghost - Legendary Pokémon. Mascot for Moon.

Magearna - Steel/Fairy - Mythical Pokémon. Likely distributed through some special event.

Zygarde 10% Forme - Dragon/Ground - New form of the X/Y Legendary Pokémon Zygarde

Zygarde Complete Forme - Dragon/Ground - New form of the X/Y Legendary Pokémon Zygarde

@Rensch Don't mean to bother you, but if you want an overview of the new Pokémon; just go to Serebii: http://serebii.net/sunmoon/pokemon.shtml Having to load all those images on your phone takes a while and eats up your bandwidth pretty fast if you keep posting this list every other page.

Wonder what the English names for Kekkoala and Iwanko will be.

On a side note, Zygarde Complete Forme's signature move is called Core Enforcer in the west. A lot of the new moves so far are beams. We DBZ now.

I wonder if Zygarde will get more new special attack moves distributed if for the first time, that they decide to put move tutors. ORAS offered a small amount of extra moves for Zygarde, noteably on the physical department; so it would be nice if it became the case for the opposite if S/M did incase of a bump to the special attack stat complimenting a balance to it's complete form.

I'd rather just leave Kalos at this point and move forward. Kalos was nice, but I didn't find the region as a whole very memorable...other than the pacing between the first and second gym seemed to really drag for me.

Fido form is fine, but mecha mode just looks stupid outside of that special move (which looks anime as hell).

@Rensch Just post the link to Serebii for example instead. I don't have an issue with an entire list, but it gets bigger everytime and it gets reposted every other page. So far there hasn't been much response from the community. With all due respect, I'd just like to see these forums remain clean and focussed. If people want an overview of the new Pokémon; a forum isn't the place to go either.

i actually like these lists. I check this forum more than Serebii or any other Pokemon related site

From hearing the wild battle theme with sound effects reduced it sounds like the composer has used 4th and 5th gen instruments combined to make it. Hopefully we'll get more themes that sound similar to them.

@Marakuto Has an official battle theme been released? I can only find fanmade ones. Assuming that the one in the Zygarde trailer isn't an actual battle theme - I think it's just background music with the effects laid over the top.

Also, for what it's worth, I quite like the Pokemon lists too, at least for the time being. Maybe they'll get cumbersomely big at some point, but for the moment it's nice to for us all to have something to reflect on, and I think it makes a good reference for discussion.

@Octane I like the lists @Rensch makes and I also don't have a problem loading them on mobile. I remember he/she did it when X/Y news was coming out, and only posted it after new Pokemon were revealed, not ever other page.

Personally I think it's fine that the list is posted when appropriate but it's up to Rensch.

@Maxz If we're assuming that it is from the Japanese trailers, then its safe to say that it'll be the wild theme. Although we're to expect a longer and cleaner version when more trailers with it playing I think.

@Marakuto Oh yeah, I've found it. I see what you mean about the instrumentation. The melody reminds me of... well, a lot of past battle themes, splurged together, from a lot of different games. If I feel really inclined, I might try and track down each one, but at the moment... I'm not feeling quite that inclined.

Still, I'm glad it's more than an abstract 'soundscape' (like some of the music in X/Y).

I also don't mind them, but I can also understand the potential bandwidth/loading issues for someone using mobile data instead of a wifi access point.

...Only two more days until we get more Sun/Moon news.
