@roy130390 No, I'm certain those are fake. That's probably something ripped straight from deviantArt. New Pokémon are either released through Nintendo themselves or through CoroCoro most of the time. When they do, their official art is included. Sometimes people find some stuff in-game, but we have never get drawings like this (not as official announcements nor leaks), with detailed descriptions that almost look like a reference sheet.

Those look well made.

Although the fire and water ones look a bit too gendered, for starter Pokemon.

Maybe, but fire boi over there looks no more dudely than blaziken.

Neat concepts, but I would bet money that those are also fakes. It's a shame, the final evolution idea for Rowlet looks pretty wicked.

I would be very unhappy if that's Litten's final form though. Three fire/fighting starters in a row was overdoing it (Blaziken was awesome, Emboar was okay, but Infernape was horrible....).

@Octane Yeah, but then again, things change. I also don't believe that they are real but just because the reveals tend to happen on CoroCoro doesn't mean they couldn't have been leaked by different sources this time. One can't be certain of stuff like this in my opinion. Would I bet money on them be real? No. Do I expect for them to be revealed the same was as always? Yeah. But even so, I can't be certain about them being fake and as far as I know neither do you or anyone that isn't involved with the game. I hope you don't get the wrong idea, I'm not attacking you or searching for a discussion, I'm just giving my two cents about this. I bet that you are right about them being fake, I just can't assure that they are and the same would apply to anyone here.

I got them from reddit, I think that it's always interesting to share these works despite the low chance of them being real.

@Trinexx Same here, I think that the rowlet final evolution idea is quite neat and clever. Let's hope the final product ends up looking similar to it.

@Meowpheel Perhaps not, but Blaziken does have built-in parachute pants.

In case somebody wants a better quality image of the "leaks"

Honestly I'm really not sure what to think. To my knowledge so far they haven't been debunked, and it looks like Sugimori's newer style enough to me...

The thing about these is that it's very creative and different that what most people assume they'll evolve into now. I mean nobody wants to see Litten become a bipedal Fighting type, (though there is a recent pattern of the Fire-types starting as quadruped and becoming biped, Fighting or not) and who would have thought that Rowlett would become a Robin Hood?

I really can't say for sure that they're fake though it is likely. And I hated these designs at first, but assuming they're real, I kinda like them. They're not the best designs but it feels believable to me. Plus there's a lot of concept art which is unsual. I'm probably naive though, but unless someone can find issues with the blurry Japanese or something, I'm personally not calling this one fake just yet.

People have also been saying the Litten evo might not be Fighting type, but Dark instead, since it seems to be using wrestling moves, and wouldn't fit in with the Japanese idea of Fighting types. It seems a bit more cruel, since it's slamming Pikachu with a table and swinging Pokemon around. Which, to me, is pretty awesome.

The one thing about this leak that's interesting is that it seems each Pokemon gets a special move like Gen 6's did. Litten has some kind of burning wrestle move, Rowlett shoots an arrow, and Popplio has some kind of glowing bubble attack. There's also what looks like art of the back of the Pokemon for battles. So even if they're fake, whoever drew and designed these did a good job in my opinion.

If kitten had to evolve into a humanoid manly fighter, at least they could give it a bit of a luau fire dancer flair... But tbh I'd be ok if they looked like that in the end.

I still don't completely think they're real though.

Everything should be considered fake until a credible source claims otherwise, especially if it's found on 4chan. There really is nothing to discuss about those starter evos except whether we like them or not, but seeing that they're most likely fake since none of the big sites have reported on them, which they would usually have done by now, I don't see a reason to discuss them.

For what it's worth, I'm convinced they're fake, mainly on account of the shading style, and the line thickness. And to an extent, the designs themselves.

Which I'm generally glad about, although there are some rather neat features. I like the idea of some sort of archery Pokemon, and a flying grass type seems like a good contender.

@roy130390 I understand, but I just doubt the way they're presented to this. Leaks have happened, but never in this way, and I think it's extremely unlikely that a leak would happen in this way. Add the fact that there's no source and that's enough reason to doubt its credibility.

So litten's evolution will shoot fire from his crotch?

I REALLY hope not, we already had a monkey farting flames. Too many spicy Poffins I guess. I sort of hope Litten's final evolution is still a quadruped, but I may be in the minority there.

People still read the spammy virus-fest known as 4chan? O_o

Like, I don't see any evidence for this being fake, and the starters look so good that I just can't help but hope this is real. If it does end up being legit, I'm totally team Popplio.

@BlatantlyHeroic no one needs to prove they're fake, that's not how it works. They aren't confirmed by reliable sources yet, and until they are they should be considered fake. They also originated on 4chan.

@AlliMeadow There's not a way "how it works", it's just a matter of perspective and preference, and right now they are just there, being a possible fake but also a possible leak. It doesn't matter wich option is more probable either, there's no need to clasify them as any of those.

About having a reason or not to discuss them, I think that fake or not they are interesting and I think the opposite to you: As long as the final evolutions aren't revealed there's enough reason to talk about them and any other supposed leak, simply for entertainment. Even if they end up being fake, many fan art is discussed, compared and evaluated simply forthat reason. There's no need for some sort of objective to many people.

I'm still waiting for a reference in history when "leaked starter evolutions" were ever not fake.

@roy130390 I haven't made myself clear. Of course we can discuss the designs and what kind of hidden ability or moves such starters would have. What I think is utterly pointless is discussing whether the designs are real or not. Because there isn't anything to discuss there. They either are or they aren't and no amount of discussion will lead anywhere until we either get the real designs to disprove them or a reliable source confirms them.

Lastly it does work the way I said. Until they are proven to be legit they should be considered fake. It isn't anyones job to prove that they are fake, that is almost impossible. If people believe they are real and wants to have a discussion based on their legit existence, then they have to prove they're real, not the other way around.

Not a good rule, they stated a new policy stating that they will no longer report on leaks after receiving a cease and desist for reporting on gen 5 leaks.

Hence why they didn't update the site after the big gen 6 leak that happens.
