@Haru17@Meowpheel@Tsurii The original starter leak mentioned Fire/Dark (along with Grass/Flying and Water/Fairy). We have little reason to assume it's a Fighting type.
@DefHalan Probably, but it lines up exactly with the leaks and the Pokemon we've seen in trailers. I don't think the actual dex will be much different at all. Not sure if the Ultra Beasts are treated as Pokemon, since they do have a Pokedex image, yet aren't Pokemon(?). Other than that, it's pretty much the entire roster of Pokemon available during the main quest.
In BW2 the movie monster pokemon thingys had dex slots so the game acknowledges them. However if you captured them or hacked their wild encounter you'd get a game crash.
They could just be doing that for these, even giving them shinies so your game doesn't explode whenever you mess with this coding and giving them legitmately values (you can't have IVs modifers without a PID and with a PID you're mechanically able to generate a shiny, if somebody encounters a shiny UB and the game can't find one it might make a missing no.)
Besides, by story order it would seem weird that they come after the box legends in the dex assuming you encounter some of them during the main story earlier on.
Also I just noticed something in that dex image @Octane posted... Absol's "horn" is on the wrong side of its head in that sprite.
@BlatantlyHeroic It's 297 'mons in the Alolan Dex vs 450+ in the Kalos one.
It got a lot better. X and Y were THAT bad about throwing new 'mons under the bus.
Also, I find it too funny that one of the first image leaks for the game that wasn't obviously fake ended up 100% credible.

@CrazedCavalier ironically, somebody drew those "leaked" starter evos as fanart, visited masuda at a convention, got it autographed and masuda told the kid "we haven't revealed these guys yet". This was on the 16th of october.
I can just feel masuda's rage building up... at that moment a kid knew what the starters were before revealed, and then masuda scrapped his demo so we wouldn't know more and.... oops
I feel like one of these gens he'll leave something in the games that crashes when hacked.
@MegaBeedrill The sprite looks mirrored. Eeveelutions have place holder sprites I noticed, it's their in-game model. Don't know what's up with that though.
I thought from the beginning those starter leaks could be real, but it seems there are still people out there who don't believe they're true, even after the hacks (confirmation of the Litten evo is the only hack I've accidentally seen so far)
I'm a little disappointed in wrestler cat too, but still, the amount of denial I've seen from people is ridiculous
At the very least, hopefully it will be Fire/Dark since understandably, nobody wants another Fire/Fighting

Need I remind anyone of the worldwide release thing? XY got leaked in Italy a week or so early, and to this day the EU and UK has gotten every following Pokémon game later.

@Tsurii The thing is, they dummied out all the names, stats, dex entries, and models. They got rid of 90% of the stuff we weren't supposed to see- they just happened to leave this 10% in.

Well, if those are the only final evolution, then I'm certainly picking the (initially uggo [spoiler link]) Popplio. It's shades of blue and pink shells are the only even remotely attractive final forms. The archer concept is cool, but Rowlet's owl form is nigh-on totally abandoned and that crayola-green hood is deal-breaker for me. An ugly, ugly deal-breaker.
Only Torterra could get away with that much flat green, and he was a planet turtle! A PLANET TURTLE!!! When are we gonna get another pokemon as cool as that!?
Can we talk about how Solgaleo and Lunala seem to have pre-evolutions? I wonder, is it going to be a Manaphy situation or will we evolve the pre-evolutions into Solgaleo and Lunala? The latter would be a lot more interesting
