They really ought to stop making new stones and consolidate the ones that are already there into some semblance of usefulness. I love gen 4, but why is there a shiny stone, dawn stone, AND a sun stone?
Anyway, megas are exactly what I expected: they're returning, but only to "relive" them.
Finally, I actually really dig all of the middle stages' designs (which feels wrong to say...).
Well we got the Mega Evo arguments cleared up pretty quickly lol. Glad that's put to rest now... Er, no wait, we still don't know if they're going to add new ones. Never mind.
Dartrix is meh... Torracat is probably my favorite of these three but I will still pick Rowlet since I will trade for a Litten with someone. I almost thought Brionne was cute but they had to make it ugly with those... Ears?
That PC thing seems neat, and glad we can get stones as opposed to using Super Training again. Ice Stone is also interesting, but something tells me Glaceon along with Leafeon will still keep that silly Ice/Moss Rock method to evolve.
I'm also surprised to see Ash Greninja show up in the games, but I guess by adding him as a demo bonus they can avoid story elements with it. Still though, it makes no sense when there is no Ash present. Oh well, Game Freak probably doesn't care and just wants to make money off of Greninja twice as much.
From Popplio to Brionne:
The fur on the paws and tail have started to turn white, signifying that it's growing out of its baby coat and into its adult coat. Three frilly dress pieces, the middle one is darker. Ears seem to be turning into hair.
From Brionne to the "Unnamed Leaked Final Evo":
Top part of dress is frilly, with a darker shaded main part in the center, and ends with another frilly part at the end, mirroring the design of its predecessor. Ears have fully turned into hair. Whole body has become white, signifying that it has gained its full adult coat. The paws even carry over the exact same design.
Brionne is also known as the "Popstar Pokemon". What does a popstar do? Sing (and dance). What does a siren do? Sing. Brionne are known to gather and dance on moonlit nights, which matches up with folklore of sailors seeing mermaids on moonlit nights. Seems like the final evo leak is pretty much real at this point.
Not that I don't believe the leaks, but can we really use the mid evolutions to know how the final forms will look? Take Wartortle for example, it sprouts this wing-things on its head and its tail becomes curly, but none of that is present in Blastoise's design. Or Froakie and Frogadier — before Greninja was leaked people assumed their final form would be a big bubbly toad or something with a bubble theme. But of course, it instead became a ninja with no bubbles, which is a turn its design took that I don't think anyone really expected.
And especially with the possibility of split evolutions, it's possible that the alternate forms (other than the ones in the leaks) could be closer in design to the mid evolutions. For example I don't quite see the resemblance that Brionne and Dartrix have to their leaks respectively, but for Torracat I can see it. But again, like I said, the mid evolutions are sometimes inconsistent with the final forms so it's hard to say.
LOVE These new evolutions, particularly Dartrix. It looks like a stuck-up rich kid version of Rowlet and I love it! Brionne and Torracat are also really cool!

@FriedSquid They usually have a few things that carry over in some shape or form. Charizard keeps Charmeleons head crest and grows a second one. Croconaw's head scute becomes body scutes on Feraligatr's body. Braixen's ear hair becomes Delphox's floofy hair, its skirt becomes its dress, and it even still uses the wand.
The fact remains that the similarities between Brionne and the leaked final evo are apparent, and the leak came out months ago.
I mean, Brionne also uses bubbles a lot and performs- pop star makes perfect sense.
As FriedSquid said, mid evos don't generally perfectly lineup with their final forms- which holds true here. There's enough similarities that they lead into it, but aren't completely blatant.

...Meh, too tired/lazy right now to read through over two pages of posts, so here's my take on everything.
First, the starter evolutions. Torracat looks really awesome, and Dartrix is at least passable; I'm not sure I dig the smug vibe, however. Brionne, though....ugh. I'm not fond of the design at all. I'm sure this has already been discussed, but their appearances seem to fit the Chinese leaks. Which would mean I'm a bit conflicted on whether to get Rowlett or Litten now....
The Festival Plaza looks like a really cool feature. It reminds me of Join Avenue, one of my favorite things about Black/White 2. I'll definitely be using it.
Poke Pelago looks very cool/useful as well, and it addresses something I've always wondered about: What would happen if there was a sort of reserve or daycare for boxed Pokemon, like Professor Oak's lab in the anime? This seems like a better yet similar idea to that concept.
Mega Evolution is returning. I always thought it would as I didn't see Game Freak getting rid of a game-changing battle mechanic like that. It doesn't seem as though any new Megas will be added, though that hasn't positively been confirmed or denied.
The Global Link stuff has never interested me, so I'm ignoring that.
Finally, the Special Demo. Be honest, who here won't be playing this? Ash Greninja or not, I think it's worth a shot.
