Points help determine level ranking, and you need a certain number of S rankings to unlock Expert levels. So scores do matter somewhat. Plus, I think the more points, the more EXP your Pokemon receives, helping them level up.
I don't think that's accurate. I think it's purely a points thing. Replaying that Meowth level so much, I'm fairly sure I've received A and S rankings even with the same number of turns left.

How many of you guys have S-ranked every single level in the game without using any real money? After around 60 hours of playing the game I finally did it a few days ago.
Ya I'm willing to side with turns counting more towards rating. I did a test of my own in one of the stages. As long as I have a certain amount of turns remaining (in that test 2 or more), the score didn't matter. In one part of the test I scored 2217 with 2 turn left and got an S and in another I scored 2905 with 1 turn left and got an A.
I would like to know the person who can catch all the Pokemon with the exception of Mewtwo without even using coins or jewels. That one seems like a more difficult likely impossible task especially with some of the troublesome mega evolution.

Yeah, it's moves. I was wrong. Obviously I knew the more turns left the more points you'd earn so it usually came down to turns anyway, but I thought perhaps points played some role in it all.

Any tips for Mega Glalie? I've been stuck on it for a few days.
Spend some coins on Mega Evolving at the start. Maybe the +5 moves as well. Trust me; Mega Gengar is even harder. In fact, I have stuck on Mega Mewtwo for nearly two weeks now. To be fair, I spent most of my hearts fighting Mega Blastoise. (even though I'm only ranked 16000 )

You'll have to spend coins on Mega Evolutions unless you just get really lucky. Complexity -1 makes it a lot easier and (should) remove Glaceons from the level making combos a bit more natural.
In general try to make moves at the bottom unless you have a great move somewhere else.
Try using MegaSlowbro. He basically acts as a Complexity -1 because more often than not one match will clear all Slowbros out leaving only your other 3 Pokemon. Even if I had a better option for typing as a Mega/Lead, Slowbro is a great choice thanks to his Mega ability.
Lol, got my Blaistoisite and used it on Groudon right away! So happy I finally have my Groudon! I hope we'll get Ho-oh/Lugia next (or somewhere down the line). Yay for new levels as well. Still in the process of S-ranking everything, though it seems that the list just got longer, heh.
