I was kind of hoping something like this would happen to make it a viable f2p game since few people would actually pay. I assume this'll get the people who just can't get a score high enough to get the reward or the people after 1st place. I assume they'll put the stone up for grabs again later on since there's only so many possible options for competitions that would still get a decent turn out. I don't plan on spending cash on this competition but at least everyone gets a gem
The game is staring to wear off on me as well. I just got to level 150 and there are only 2 pokemon left in the main area to catch. (Stages 147 and 148). the Expert stages are the only thing left for me. there i have 19 of them visible and stages 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 13 and 14 are caught. I've only managed to finish 5, 10 and 11 so far without power ups and still need to catch them.
The only thing that will keep me going at this point, once I have gone as far as I can, Is that I have saved up my free jewels and now have 12 of them that I was going to turn into coins to try to get some of the higher levels. When I run out I will assess how I have enjoyed it and pop in a few buck accordingly.
How's everyone doing in the Lucario Event? I'm finding I need to get better each day to stop from slipping! Currently I have:
Score: 13466
Rank: 1483
My high score is about 7,000 and I am near rank 27,000 (checked this morning before work) I don't have a lot of Expert Pokemon and haven't used any coins, so it might be difficult for me.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
That was from last night. The ranking has surely dropped, but I think it should be enough to stay in the top 20,000. Who knows though.
@DefHalen If you haven't used any coins, now's the time to do so! You must have a ton stockpiled.
I have used coins before, I meant I haven't used coins for the event. I only have 7,000 coins, I might spend money to get enough coins in order to do this event near the end... maybe.

Try to get to 10,500 coins. That's enough to buy the two powerups available. Then take one good shot at it the last day if you're not in the top 20,000.
If you replay level 37 (Meowth's), you can usually get at least 330 coins by getting four in a row (and beating the level). Sometimes more if you can get fortunate placement of coins. Best way to farm for coins now that the Special Meowth event is over.
...Sooo, what's this game like really?...Usually don't go for Free-to-Play games because of limitations, ads and the fact that they bug the crap out of you about buying in-game purchases. >.>

It is really fun. The idea is to make the biggest matches (more damage) while taking the least amount of turns.

That reminds me...does this play similarly to Puzzles and Dragons? lol
Sounds like it to me, wanted to see what that game is like when that hits in a couple of months.

It is a match 3 game like Puzzles and Dragons but there are enough differences in my opinion to make both worth it.
