They're definitely annoying. I feel bad for any newer players

"Look at all those super cool special Pokemon! Too bad you're too weak to catch them! Well, you can always spend some money on jewels, or wait until they come back in like 10 months or so."

Aaaand... it's a cheat.

I managed to beat Solrock with four moves remaining. Catching percentage went up from 13% to 29%. I wasn't able to catch it with the great ball either (which happens 90% of the time for me when the percentage is within 50-70%).

Update on the distruption: Solrock spawns both rocks and Solrocks in the following pattern:
oooooo
oooooo
RSooSR
ooSSoo
oooooo
oooooo
Where R=rock, S=Solrock.

If the Solrocks connect, there's a chance the Rocks will turn into Solrocks thanks to the Swap+ ability. It doesn't sound too bad but Solrock's not SE against itself so the amount of damage it can give itself is very little.

@Rikaria: I used to save a pic of al;l my achivements but in order to post it online, the pic itself have to be online and, like I asked you once, don't know how to do it. It seems that you need a place like imgur? to save your pics online and retrive them. So, I'm just not taking any pics as of lately.

There is a discussion on Reddit, I think. Some have claimed to even find a pattern, which I couldn't find it myself.

@maceng: You can also post screenshots on Miiverse without them having to be in a post.

@Nego: How can you do it? Can you explain how? (Never saw the option on Miiverse).

There's a screenshot album function, but it seems to be private and there doesn't seem to be an easy way to actually share the pictures there outside of making a journal entry or drawing.

Of course, you could just save the pictures on your computer and upload them somewhere else.

If I were a new player, I would not even bother trying to get into Shuffle at this point. I'd be completely overwhelmed with the ridiculous number of special and main stages, and it would be next to impossible winning any of the competitions even if one were to spend money on jewels (I just barely scraped in with Mega Sceptile due to the inability to buy a Mega Start and Complexity -1 as it was heavily skewed to favour max-candied Rayquazas, and I just don't think that it's worth giving 20 candies to a single mega, as they are already ridiculously sparse. If it were possible to exchange coins for candies, Exp boosts and Raise Max Levels, then I'd be more willing to use them.

Porygon did nothing wrong.

@maceng: Go to Miiverse on your 3DS. On the left side of the screen it shows what is being seen on both of your screens in the game you are currently playing.
Select the screen you want to grab a screenshot of and select "Save to Screenshot Album" on the right-hand side of the screen (unless you want to add it straight to a play journal entry).
Then go to Miiverse on your browser and sign in.
Navigate to your profile page (the url is https://miiverse.nintendo.net/users/[USERNAME]), just replace the "[USERNAME]" with your NNID.
Scroll down until you see a section called "Recently Saved Screenshots".
Click on the screenshot you want to get the url or save on your computer and then right-click it or do whatever it is you usually do for images you want to get an URL to or save on your computer.

However, you should note that if you want to post the picture on certain sites like Reddit, you will have to upload it to imgur or some other image sharing site. Reddit is kind of iffy when it comes to screenshots linked from Miiverse, or that applies to at least r/MarioMaker.

@sillygostly: I'm not trying to convince you either way, but giving Mega Rayquaza all 20 Mega Speedups has been worth it for me. It's literally saved me from having to rely on Mega Start and even Mega Boost/Mega Boost+ for a lot of stages (Main and Special; probably could also use in Expert). MRay has also been regarded as one of the best Megas in the game because of its combo potential, slightly beating MGengar.

I have to agree with this.

I've only given M-Ray four candies so I've had to use the Mega Start most of the time in contests and on harder levels. However, M-Ray is really good, if not the best mega. I still use M-Gengar more only because I don't have enough candies to give M-Ray and I have full candied up M-Gengar months ago.

Just did level 199. Used Attack up, DD and Time +10. Finished with 15 sec left, and I was very clumsy!!

Used Steelix (max), Latias (max), Zygarde CF (level 7) and Dragonite (max).

My Steelix has two candies (out of 7).

Tomorrow I'll be doing level 200 with the same items plus, maybe, Mega Start.

Strange... When I circle with Optimize button for battling Latios, Zygarde CF (level 7, 104AP), never comes up, even though is the most powerful option.

Anyone else noticed it too?

maceng

Akane

@maceng: Yeah, I've noticed it. It also doesn't place Latios in the Mega slot for some reason even though it's far better than Latias.

I only begun playing the escalation battle yesterday as I grew tired of Meowth grinding. I'm currently on level 14 with a team of M-Latios (max), Zygarde CF (7), Zygarde 50 (max), and Dragonite (max).

@Nego: Good team. Same one I used, except for leveling up Mamoswine and Abomasnow. But Steelix is very important for level 192-198, and almost required for 199 and 200.

One thing to remember: Steelix mega ability (steel blocks smashing) takes quite a time to finish, so you can plan your next move while its effect lasts.

@maceng: Thanks for letting me know about Steelix's usefulness in the last stages. I'm currently on level 95 so it'll still take me a couple of days before then though.

I'm having no luck in skipping boss stages though. -_-

It's a bit disappointing how bad they "nerfed" the anger mechanic after only a single stage... Too bad.

@Rikaria: Congrats! I still haven't touched the new main stages.

This Tuesday update contains... absolutely nothing new. Are they switching the usual weekly update day or did GS realise the current amount of special stages can be found intimidating by some?

In any case it's good for me since I plan to first complete the Escalation Battle, then continue leveling up Groudon, Charizard, Zygarde CF, and Blaziken and every once in a while get some more coins off of Meowth. These two activities can get boring if done too many times in succession afterall.

Just a tip to all those who will still attempt the Latios Escalation Battle: M-Steelix becomes very useful right after stage 100, although not necessary.

@Nego: If you or anyone is wondering, levels 191 upwards are a bit tough, but they can be tackled with 10-15 hearts, or with 3k-4k worth of coins, using +10 sec. Also, the angry Pokemon might help you shave some stages off (I went from 193 to 198).

I'm currently finishing the new stages (level 381) as I spent the weekend grinding Meowth using one item from the special shop, the one that lets you amass up to 10 hearts, one every 15mins. Was very worth it, as I went from 24k to 45k while leveling up a couple of Pokemons.
