@Rikaria: Have a question. Have you used the bonus for buying jewels and if you did, how it works? Do I have to wait three hours to get the 6 hearts, or does it do it in less time?
When you buy 5 or more jewels, you receive a heart bonus. I think that the cap now is 6 instead of 5. Also, you receive a 20% increase on the daily bonus (600 or 1,200 coins), for the month during which you made the purchase.
@Rikaria: Thanks!! Good to hear that it does stack up!. Still, not worth it for me, since I take my 3DS with me everywhere and rarely spend more than 2 hours without opening it up.
Wow. You guys weren't kidding about the levels past 190. I beat level 190 with the timer being on exactly 0:00. Thankfully Latios got angry right afterwards so now I'm on 198 (I did use a couple of items just to be sure). The end is nigh!

@maceng: Thanks, I did. It didn't take me too long to beat level 200 but it did leave me with almost empty wallet. I had to continue Meowth grinding right on.
I think I'll take tomorrow off from this game. I need to go through my backlog.

Like all the websites stated: Bellosom makes an appearance and Mega Swampert competition repeats.
I used M-Rayquazza and a Sky Blast Team (with Lugia) to defeat Bellossom in just 5 moves. As my M-Rayquazza is not fully candied (just 17/20, getting there), used MS and DD, as Bellossom keeps spawning 2 horizontal rows of Vileplumes, Glooms and Oddishes. The starting board is full with them, but in a couple of moves almost all are wiped out. The rest can be taken care with Lugia, if needed to. Bellosom has about 9,000HP so it can be easy tackled in very few moves. I managed a 57-60% catch rate and didn't need a super ball (thanks God!!).
@Rikaria my guess would be just before or just after sun/moon releases to build some hype/keep hype and/or introduce the new 'mon to everyone.
the starters are so friggin cute, pretty much all pokemon are cute tho XD
I just got Charizard maxed out again. It's on level 15 now and I have a feeling it's going to be useful in the future. I got Groudon on level 15 a few days ago too so now I wait until they let some other good pokémon level up for more than the regular 10 levels.
@Nego Wow. I lolli-pop(ed) both Charizard and Groudon, but I haven't been able to max out Groudon as I've been busy grinding Meowth (this is my second time ever to reach 90,000+ coins). Also, Groudon is a bit hard to level up as it is of no use on the Meowth 37 stage.
@maceng I actually used a level up candy on Groundon once I hit level 14 with it. Leveling up Groudon can take a lot of time so I deemed it worthy.
When it comes to leveling up Pokémon using the Ampharos stage, I most of the time manage to pretty easily get the crown on the pokemon I want. That means when I was still leveling up Groudon, I managed to get it 100 exp almost every single time. The same happened with Charizard. It didn't really take me too long to reach level 15 with Charizard either.
The team I used was also pretty good and I was able to finish the Ampharos stage relatively easy with M-Garchomp (MAX), Charizard, Landorus Therian Forme, and a Uxie, the last three above level 7. I believe the best run I did was when I was still focusing on Groudon. I used M-Charizard Y and two other Pokémon I can't remember anymore but ones that I hadn't maxed back then. I ended up with 36 moves remaining which definitely is not bad at all.
Also, just a tip: if you want to focus on leveling up a pokemon that is able to mega evolve, do not put it in the mega slot. You are much more likely to get the pokemon crowned at the end of the stage if it's in a regular slot than in a mega slot.

Yes, after they mega-evolve, their icons become quite scarce.
Groudon is a very good ground Pokemon, and I'm really looking forward to level it up, but I wanted to S-rank as many stages as possible since I feel that I'm missing out on the Expert Pokemons that keep poppin' up in the competitions and boards (looking at you Arcnine -which I just unlocked).
Also, I haven't caught like a 100 Pokemons in the main stages and many are quite powerful, like Flygon, Gardevoir, Gogoat, Seismitoad, Drapion and many others (all with 70 base power).
I haven't caught a lot of the main stage pokemon either. I'm especially annoyed at Aegislash. I've cleared it many times with S rank but yet the pokemon always escapes my great balls.
There's a new update that once again changes the game. Enter: Skill boosters. Skill boosters are new items that "increase the activation rate and effects of your [pokémon's] skills". You are awarded one Skill Booster M when you check in today. You can earn more by repeatedly playing a certain special stage after you have caught the pokemon, this time it being Groundon. However, it's not guaranteed that Groudon will drop a skill booster every single time and the type of the skill booster will also vary (S, M, L).
So yeah, Groudon is now repeating as well as Wobbuffet and Daily Pokémon #4. However, you will now have to pay 400 coins in order to unlock the Groudon stage. I haven't tried it out yet because I don't know if you have to pay it every time or just once.
New special stages:
Electivire. Needs 300 coins to unlock.
New Safari. Contains Drowzee, Hypno, Frillish, Jellicent, Elgyem, Beheeyem and Mesprit. Thankfully needs no coins to unlock.
This week's update is pretty huge for me since I missed out on the daily pokemon when they originally run. Finally they are repeating it! I already caught Wynaut.

Apparently the great ball save is now gone meaning that even if you escape to the HOME menu and quit the game after an unsuccessful great ball throw, you will still lose the money you spent on the great ball.
I haven't been able to confirm this and probably won't be either. I used a great ball on a couple of safari pokémon but was able to catch them with the first great ball.
@sillygostly No. The Electivire and Groudon stages do not take any hearts when you play them, only coins. So a good strategy would be to use your five recharging hearts on Meowth, then play the Groudon/Electivire stage with the coins you just got from Meowth. It's actually more economical in a way since you don't lose any hearts in the payable stages.
I actually plan to start grinding the Groudon level like this once I've managed to catch all the Pokémon from the Safari. I already have Groudon so I should have the chance to get the items it may drop right away.
I caught Electivire earlier today on my very first try even though the catch percentage was awful. I got really lucky there. I also already have all the Safari Pokémon except for Drowzee and Mesprit, the latter of which has only a 2 % encountering rate. I haven't even encountered it yet.
EDIT: The great ball HOME escape trick has NOT been fixed. The author of the reddit post was wrong.
Thank God. I've had a number of Pokémon escape even with an 80%+ catch rate. -.- It's absolutely ridiculous. The Great Ball trick is most welcome and I would hate, hate, hate to see it "fixed".
I'm glad to hear that the toll stages do not require hearts. That makes the cost of entry a good deal fairer.
Porygon did nothing wrong.
