Topic: Pokemon Shuffle

Nice, Tech. I got super lucky this time around and scored a few 6 coins in a row (700 coins each). Managed 10,200, for a 7,400 coins profit. I have 97,000 coins overall so I guess it's time to max out a few Pokemon.

Should be a big update tonight. I hope that escalation battle comes.

Had terrible luck with the competition. Ranked 5001, really? >__<; Debating on whether i really want to try again. Either way, just gotta wait for hearts to refill now.

If you've got a huge store of coins, I say go for it. I like getting those speed ups.

Wouldn't say I have a huge store at this point after all that leveling up of various Pokemon in the last weeks. Even though I haven't even used a single Mega Speedup yet, I decided to go for it anyway and I'm now in the thousands range and should be fine until the end of the competition. Either way, not going to stress about it, if I get bumped, I get bumped. Time to start building back up my coin reserves. I only have around 14k left.

@Klimbatize: Thanks for the tips with the Mewtwo stage. Iused both powerups and made 5,700 coins (a 2,900 profit).

I just checked and thought I would be ok but I fell out of the top 5k as well. Not sure I want to give it another try as it seems I would have to get much closer to 40k to do it.

Ok, did 2 More tries and failed miserably. Wasted 26k in coins and now I'm back to just over 3k left.

Just as I was getting hopeless about phione, I find it on my first heartand catch it right now.

I should probably retry the garchomp stage now that I have it. I probably dropped like 20000 spots, since the competition is almost over now.

How high did you have to place to get a mega stone? This is the first competition I didn't get a stone from. Also is anyone else having a hard time with the new levels? I am putting my efforts into darkrai after failing the first new level

Anybody else think Mine Jr. has an ungodly ammount of hit points?

You had to come in the first 18,000 places.
I think this was by far the easiest challenge yet. I have three 3DSXLs in which I play regularly (I have like 15 3DS in all), and I managed to be on the top 1,000 on one, and like on the spot 1,200 something on other. In the other 3DS I didn't have enough coins, but I still manage to get the mega Stone.

This escalation battle with Darkrai is at least manageable up to the 20 level, using level 6 to 8 Pokemons.

May I offer a word of advice?
First level the most useful Pokemons: Fighters, Ground, Ice, fire and Rock. Try to crown others than the Mega Pokemons. Besides these, Ampharos and Banette are very strong Pokemons to level-up. Start with at least 70 level Pokemons or with 60 level Pokemons with special abilities 9rock and barrier brakers, eject, cloud removers, etc.).

Also, some teams are essential. For example Mega Banette-Gengar-Chandelure-Giratina-Haunter. Also, Mega Blastoise-Mega Venasaur-Sceptile-Shaymin-Kyogore-Tropius-Milotic-manaphy.

I have 42 maxed Pokemon. There have been some weeks where I have nothing to do with my hearts except play level 130 over and over again.

Apparently the current Escalation battle gives out more speed ups than previous ones. Reportedly they give one out at levels 50, 100, 150, and 200. Previously, you didn't get one at 150. Plus, starting at level 75, you get 5 Hearts as a prize every 50 levels. I didn't see anything about coin levels, but I did play 30 and that is one. Managed to get 1030 coins. That would be nice every 30 or so levels. I think a level that gave away hearts would be cool, too. Match 3 hearts in a row, earn 1. 4 in a row, earn 2. 5 in a row, earn 3.

But anyway, last escalation challenge I stopped at 100. The added bonuses (in particular the speed up at 50), may keep me going past 100. We'll see how hard those levels get.

@Klimbatize: Any advice on which Pokemons to carry for the coin level?

I have like 8 maxed Pokemon (in particular, a team I used over and over for Mewtwo).

What I really want is the ability to save teams of Pokemons. It is a drag to have a team for Mewtwo, one for the current challenge, one for leveling up, one ever-changing for the normal stages, etc.

Having saved teams would be great.

For the coin level, I wish I had been paying attention. I believe that if you hit a 3 combo, more coins were added to the level as a disruption, just like the Rich Meowth stage. So basically, don't take anything that changes disruptions, or delays them (just in case they were scheduled disruptions), and any that help with combos. I guess take some Quirky guys if you have them. Unfortunately Ghost-types are weak and you must beat the level to get the coins. He has low HP though.
