Topic: Not much of 3DS games coming up?

Posts 1 to 20 of 25

There's really not much of 3DS games that I want other than Uprising, Alpha Sapphire, Azran Legacy and maybe just maybe.....Sonic Boom Shattered crystal.

I guess the only new 3DS games that would come up is from Eshop, Metroid, Wario, Advance wars and probably Golden Sun.

After so long...I'm back. Don't ask why

Nah, really, 4 games over the next 2 months that are must-buy 3DS games for me is fine. Especially since they'll be competing for my time with the 6 games on other platforms that I plan on buying between now and the end of November.

You might think 3DS is getting slim pickings, but there's more than you might think that we know of right now:

2014 - Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS
2014 - Fantasy Life
2014 - Pokémon Art Academy (North America)
2014 - Disney Magical World (Europe/EMEA)
2014 - Ultimate NES Remix
2014 - Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal
2014 - Pokémon Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire
2014 - Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth
2014 - Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy
2014 - Azure Striker Gunvolt (Europe/EMEA)
2014 - Shantae and the Pirate's Curse

2015 - Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate
2015 - Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai Deluxe
2015 - Mighty No. 9
2015 - Code Name: S.T.E.A.M.
2015 - Fossil Fighters: Frontier

(I'm bound to have forgotten something, memory like a sieve and all that)

Then there are all the games we might get, like The Great Ace Attorney, Xenoblade Chronicles, Bravely Second, and plenty more besides. There's also bound to be quite a few more games over the next couple of years, since Nintendo isn't likely to release the New Nintendo 3DS and then absolutely nothing for it.

Unless your topic is you saying there's nothing coming up that you personally are interested in, in which case none of the above will mean anything to you, I expect. But there's plenty still to come, so don't worry!

Fairly decent release schedule I'd say. This 'month' we've had Curtain Call, Smash Bros and Fantasy Life. That's pretty good for within a single month (a month as in a period of 4 weeks, not a named month)

It's not quite as good a year as 2013 for the 3DS. But that was asking a hell of a lot, 2013 was insane. One of the best years for any console ever I'm thinking.

Then as for upcoming games. I'm still absolutely pumped for Shovel Knight. After that, I'm probably waiting for some more JRPGs. Bravely Default and Legend of Legends (something like that). I'm still fairly confident we'll get a Majora's Mask announcement at some point too.
The main problem I have with the 3DS releases is that because they've kinda failed to make it an indie-friendly platform, it's really about waiting for the big budget titles. Whereas on the Vita, it seems that there's a pretty cool indie game released every couple of weeks that can keep you going between bigger releases.

I didn't find a single game on that list that I have plans to purchase. Maybe I'm just a picky gamer, but the only games I'm interested on that list are Super Smash Bros. and Monster Hunter. Not sure if I'll get Smash Bros. since it'll probably be inferior to the Wii U version (at least from what I'm hearing. I thought it would be good, but people are talking about missing game modes), and Monster Hunter will hinge on me getting a New 3DS.

My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.

I have the opposite problem I want all those games listed. Plus all the WiiU games too. My wallet is going to hate me lol.

Want: Harvest Moon: One World, Story of Seasons: Pioneering Town, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury

Finished the Alola Dex.
Now playing New Horizons, Wrath of White Witch and Sword

I see 3 games I'm definitely purchasing and 4 games I might consider later. Most of those games should last me a while, too. I don't need much more than that.

Only one game, two if we include the past.

It seems certain companies are finally deciding to start putting their major Japanese releases out here, so there is that. I'm pretty sure Yokai Watch was confirmed and I'd be surprised if that action Final Fantasy spinoff doesn't come out in the next year or so.

I can't say that any of those do interest me really (except ORAS possibly, but I'm leaning towards no right now). Also, most of those are either digital, third party, or otherwise not major releases, so it's really not that great.

But I'm not surprised that the 3DS' lineup isn't very impressive right now, Wii U needs the support more and 3DS already has plenty of great games. Maybe next year we'll start to see more 3DS games when they try to push New 3DS exclusives/enhancements.

Given all the great games we had last year, this isn't that surprising.

Wasn't very diverse and many games were spoilt by 30fps.

Earlier stuff was more diverse but not very good quality.

If what you favour aligns with what was released in 2013 I can imagine it was great it wasn't for me though.

Winx Club is Iginio Straffi's most successful creation besides the other series Straffi created.

I think that is probably the worst sentence I have ever seen on Wikipedia.

Sucks to be you. Like, not just because of that, though it is contributing evidence. Just in general.

There's a surprising number of classic Nintendo franchises that haven't made their way to 3DS yet. I am willing to bet that Nintendo have another 3DS direct that puts the Wii U line up to shame.

Advance Wars for example.
