@World: Yeah, I find it annoying when the same already-released badges been returning. At this rate, it'd take a long while before all 121-ish Tomodachi Life badges come out >_>
Sorry for double post, but a new food machine came out today! Yay! I got them all of course! Also got some of the cool AC Sweets food/furniture. It'd be awesome if there were new foods every day during this holiday!
Today's practice catcher (Nikki Valentines) was a real sod. I got the first one fine, but I just couldn't keep hold of the second one - whenever it brought it upwwards, it would fall back down again. It was too big, and didn't have enough purchase. If I'd have spent money on 5 tries in the real game and was jipped like this, I'd be extremely cross.
I was given some free tries for the occasion, and got a few chocolate badges, so it wasn't a complete blowout.
Did great in the arcade today! Got five free plays, from a super bonus and 20+ practice badges. I did the claw machine with Dr. Shrunk and the emotions first, and with one play I got all the emotions on the right. Then used three plays to get the Rhythm Heaven Screwbots. As I was switching through the machines, I passed the claw Dr. Shrunk machine I already started, and all the others badges except for one emotion fell for free! I love it when that happens! Then I used my last play on a Pokemon catcher, and got myself Deino. Today definitely made up for yesterday, when I didn't get any free plays... I'm satisfied!
It looks more like trying to persuade people to buy more plays. Super bonuses were pretty common so they've probably nerfed the chance of getting a large number of plays outside of purchasing plays using eshop credit.
There's an update in Europe that makes getting free plays easier. The super bonus from the practice catcher gives three free plays instead of two. A dummy badge provides a free play if you manage to get it.
Wait a second... if you mean the super bonus badge is the red badge, and the dummy badge is the blue badge you could get from the practice catcher, then NA already has this update! It's been like this since the app launched! I'm shocked that the United Kingdom's badge arcade isn't like this yet. I'm glad you guys are finally getting the update; long overdue!
According to the app, there's one more Tomodachi Life machine left to appear in NA. Can't wait for it. I have every single badge from the game as of now.
UPDATE: Okay, the last food machine came out today. Now I have completed my goal.
[American] Version 1.3.1 is now available on the eShop. I'm not sure what's new, but besides the download of the update it took a really long time downloading data within the game itself...
Edit: it's done downloading... Let's see...
Heh, even the bunny mentions he's not sure what's new about the update.
Two free plays. (+4 from the practice catcher, I got lucky).
That's either extremely lucky or the European version of the Badge Arcade is way more unfair. After the update that introduced the blue dummy badges, I have received no red dummies nor received more than 1 free plays from the practice catcher. The practice catcher does give me a blue dummy almost every time I fail to get over ten regular dummies but getting just one free play does not really help at all.
And this is really a F2S game in which I don't want to spend a cent. It would be different if you could actually ensure to catch a badge or two that you don't own already with every bought play but currently most of the catchers have been designed by the devil and some of the badges have been designed so that they are impossible to grab and hold onto.
The European version hasn't received a new update yet but we'll see what tomorrow brings since at least the catchers will swap.
