Have you tried sliding your stylus across the menu to find more empty space?

Is your menu already filled with icons of games and folders?

@Morpheel: There are empty spots available. I get the message when I try putting the badge in an empty spot.

@Chuckzar: To change the size of the home screen layout, tap on a badge twice to go to the badge editor, and then click the top right icon with the boxes. This should make the screen bigger and allow more space.

How many apps do you have installed?

I know there's a total max, and that it includes apps in folders too.

I deleted some apps and still had a problem. It seems it's a combination of number of apps installed and how many badges you try and add at the same time. When I shut down the 3ds and tried again I was able to add a few more badges. Not sure the exact rules but I did get more then 10 on the screen. Still have room for a lot more. Stupid limits !! If anyone figures out the rules and such please post.

Thanks for all the help.

I have been putting my badges in folders and just decorating inside the folders lol

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

@Soren I used a free play on that one today, was only able to get Nosepass/Probopass but I wanted Groudon.

I'm not 100% how to make it work in one go, but the badges are tied to the square blocks and you can't grab them. You should be able to get them by pushing the crane down on their right side, hopefully tipping them over to the right and making them fall into the hole. I think you have to do it one at a time if you want Groudon, unless you get really lucky. :/

I got a free play and tried to get Lyle. I managed to get the trees by him. The claw physically had Lyle and was moving across the screen to the drop area. When the claw let go though, Lyle bounced on the edge of the drop area and fell towards the left and back onto the platform... I'll try again tomorrow, if no other new badges come out that I want more. I hope I can get him! He's the only Animal Crossing character I'm interested in as of now! (If they ever make a Eugene badge, he's mine!) XD I got the free play because of a bonus badge; I was surprised since I haven't gotten a bonus badge in quite some time. Not complaining though!

This might be a decent budget game for $2 or $3. But $1 for every 5 tries? In my opinion that's an absurd cost and it's not worth the money; there are tons of great, fully-functional games on the eshop at $5 and under. Although I will try to get some free plays so I can put badges on my folders, getting those free plays is more time-consuming than it's worth and I can't see doing it for long.

I am sorry for your loss. I tried getting him with my free pass today. Like you, I managed to knock down the closest 2 trees into the hole. The claw grabbed Lyle and the tree beside him, and on its way to the hole, they slipped. The tree fell into the hole and Lyle hit the platform edge, but fell to the right and down the hole.

Before I used my free play though, I tried getting free badges by using the 'switch machines fast' trick, and managed to get a bird, a table and a bag of groceries (this is my 2nd bag of groceries). I couldn't manage to get anything else. All in all I got 7 badges today. Not a bad haul at all.

@Freelance: Lucky Lyle reciever! lol For the 'switch machines fast' trick, do you just press L or R fast while switching machines? I want to try this!

Thank you. I hope you can get him. As for your question, I find it easier to use the D-pad, followed by L/R. The circle pad is terrible. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work in all machines. It depends on the shape of the slopes. I thought Solrock would be in a good position to get knocked off, but it refused to budge at all. Whiscash rocks back and forth every time you switch to it, but the Kyogre below it is blocking it from rolling too far. It's too far away from the edge anyway though, so that rock fish (whatever its name is) would have stopped it.

That Pushmo bird sitting on the box is in a perfect spot to fall off so I'm sure you can get it too with that method. It fell down twice for me (once yesterday but since I didn't have any free plays, it never fell down the hole. It landed on top of it). The Animal Crossing one with the table and the bag of food shifted for me so you can try getting that too. I was doing it fast and they just tumbled after a bit. As I've just mentioned, make sure you have a free play before you try it. If you don't have one, the badges will fall but they will never get past the arrows.

A friend of mine didn't believe me when I said it works, and what I got today proves that it does.

I'm assuming this is going to be the norm when there isn't a new series of badges to introduce, as the new badges have all been from the same sets we've had for days.

@Freelance: I GOT LYLE!!! So happy! I also tired doing the fast switching technique, but can't pull it off... oh well, at least I got what I wanted!

@Blue_Blur: Congrats! Maybe you're not switching fast enough for them to shift.
