Sounds like a great update, I especially like the transferring files feature, in case they make a 3DS Lite or something like that.

Maybe they'll let us use the Home Menu R/L camera to read QR codes to directly visit eShop games and webpages!

Demos!!!!! Also like the download improvement, so that the system can download eshop stuff in Sleep Mode. Plus the Streetpass games are a nice addition too! Looking forward to this!

No. Nintendo Zone has been out for quite a while, and Best Buy is the place where you get it. Perfectly normal.

I think the update will come out sooner than 8 DEC. Cuz they are already revealing everything and stuff.

All of ios5 features were shown off in june and it didn't come out into september.
Same with OSX lion

No... I don't think so. Knowing Nintendo, it will probably be delayed until the day after, and just because they are revealing stuff (even though some of these upgrades were already known) doesn't mean it will be released before the set date.

Well, I actually use the parental controls as password/lock. Everytime I try to purchase something, I get a prompt. As well as for Nintendo video. Pretty useful. And yeah.. I hope their network is secure, but they never had an issue with the dsi shop and wii shop.
