Anyway I think that the red model is really cool, I'd have liked to see it for sale here in Europe. You lucky americans! ^_____^
I feel the same way about the blue model, it just looks really nice to me! Hopefully it will be released in America, even if I don't currently plan on buying a N3DS.
Once again blame the transfer process and not the system. You have to do this no matter the system You transfer to. If you upgraded to a regular XL Its the same process.
The transfer process IS part of the system. It's all one big crappy entity. If the old XL was this sensitive then that handheld sucks too. No one is going to convince me that everything is "all good" in this situation. New 3DS XL has been a waste of my time and money thus far. I'm glad for everyone who had a successful transfer but I feel really bad for those who lost everything digitally, myself included.
The transfer process is different to the old XL unless for the New XL transfer you already had a microSD in an adapter as your SD card for the old system. If the SD card in the old system is just a standard SD card then the New XL process is much more difficult and prone to having your data completely wiped.
I know way too many people who have given up on Nintendo handhelds because of this data loss. For them now even the game-less Vita looks more promising.
Nintendo needs an account system is all. It would alleviate a lot of stuff. Saves backed up to the cloud. New systems with the ability to just download all your data from the cloud. Friend systems across all platforms.
@Waveboy I wouldn't imagine there would be much of an issue, since the system does have a serial number. I remember taking a system to Walmart a while ago and I acidently should have taken it to Target. They told me exactly where it was actually from just by scanning it. Took it to Target then, and managed to return it.
Of Course, Amazon could be different, and it was quite a few years back. I'd say though that since they know your account, and you should have an email receipt, there should be no problems.

@WaveBoy
Fuzzy big screens (when are they going to upgrade to an HD resolution screen?)
same lame 1.5 megapixel cameras (seriously, if that's the best Ninty can do, might as well just get rid of them)
the supposed faster processing speed isn't revolutionary or really that much faster
C stick is nice, for the 2 games it's used for
There's no off switch on the outside of the handheld to turn off the wifi signal (like the original 3ds had). i guess the only way to turn it off is to go into the slow loading system settings and manually do it.
comes with no AC adapter (really?)
But the coup de grace will forever be the glitchy wireless system data transfer.

The slight fuzzy screens and 3D effect are the two reasons why I don't use the N3DS XL as my main. The C-stick works well enough for 'camera' control but it feels like a flippin' eraser head. terrible design choice on Nintendo's part. I don't notice the download speeds to be faster at all either. games DO boot up a little faster though.
Are you going back to the original Launch 3DS like I am?
I've also been hearing that people are noticing blurring for about 1-2 seconds while Super stable 3D tries to track your new position, I haven't experienced this. just the crazy flicker and defect picture doubling.
Yeah, the c-stick design is a terrible one. It does feel like a pencil head eraser or the nub stick from an old, ancient IBM Thinkpad.
I haven't gone back to my original 3DS. The games I really wanted to play, those are the ones that I lost all save data for. I'm not really interested in starting all my games over. Because of that I've rarely even turned on my New 3DS XL this week. I've been playing my original Nintendo Entertainment System. Mainly, I've been trying to beat TMNT on it and last night I fired up Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse. Good times indeed!
Looks like you'll have to wait until the end of the year for that!.....IF we're lucky. BTW have you played through any of the Metroid prime games? 3 & 1 are both phenomenal with wii pointer controls, haven't played 2: echoes yet!
Honestly I'm tempted to get one for Xenoblade 3D, loved the Wii game. As for MPT, Corruption was my first Wii game and loved it and that was my first Prime game. I beat 1 last year and than beat Echoes last month. I preferred the original though Echoes was great, though pretty difficult and confusing. Navigating the maps was annoying. You should get around 2, it's hard and a little on the eerie side, but you would probably love it!
To blessed to be stressed.
80's music makes me feel fabulous.

1. How close do you get to your 3DS?
2. Again, how close do you get your 3DS?
3. Xenoblade
4. Because the thing hasn't been out for a few weeks.
5. You're really complaining about a button that shouldn't exist?
6. Because you don't have a DS-3DS charger laying around.
7. If you had trouble with the System Transfer you must be young or you can't follow simple directions.
Why does every person I see that complain about the N3DSXL have crappy reasons?

To his defense he's not young and doesn't own a PC. He had to do the long transfer and it didn't fully work. I understand why he's upset as this transfer process needs to go. I did mine right but still lost all my save files because of a computer corruption.

I am 37 and have been gaming way before you were a fetus.
I already have Xenoblade on Wii. I wasn't planning on buying it on N3DSXL as I don't have another 90 hours of my life to play thru an RPG i've already beaten.
My reasons are fine and still very much legitimate.

Wow, because you're age really matters! Even if I'm younger than you that doesn't even matter in the long run. And I didn't mean to buy Xenoblade, I mean that the processing power had been greatly increase. Also, saying you're reasons are completely legit without any context is completely dumb. Also, can you take the time to edit what you quoting so the page doesn't uselessly expand?
