There's no off switch on the outside of the handheld to turn off the wifi signal (like the original 3ds had). i guess the only way to turn it off is to go into the slow loading system settings and manually do it.

7. If you had trouble with the System Transfer you must be young or you can't follow simple directions.
Why does every person I see that complain about the N3DSXL have crappy reasons?
To his defense he's not young and doesn't own a PC. He had to do the long transfer and it didn't fully work. I understand why he's upset as this transfer process needs to go. I did mine right but still lost all my save files because of a computer corruption.

Yeah it's the same. So that makes the New version worse? Really now? The 3DS camera is there to let you play the AR thingy...which is like never. The camera is never meant for taking good quality pictures. It's just there for you to goof around. IF you want a game console to take good quality pictures.... no there is no such console in existence because there is cameras.

You're kidding right? Starting up smash and MH4U is so much faster on the New 3DS. Not only that, navigating through the menus are so much faster. Not to mention to internet browsing experience is also MUCH improved due to the faster processing power.

I'm not even going to touch this one. The smell of petrol is pungent. Also just to let you know, you can switch off the wifi in 3 secs. Tap home->top right corner->turn it off.

Mine was completely fine. The wireless transfer is excruciating slow, hence it is not recommended to transfer data over 4GBs. My 3GB transfer took about 5 hours. I read in another thread that you didn't have access to a PC at the time....so I feel you on this one.
@bezerker99 The other points that you made are just trying to downplay the New 3DS....You're just mad you lost your files during your transfer lol. Have a cup of tea and relax.
To me the New 3DS is 1000x better than the old one simply because of Face Tracking 3D+C stick. Playing MH4U is just simply awesome.

@Waveboy Why do you keep forgetting to mention the sound. The sound is so much better on the N3ds. I use to have my old model turned up all the way most of the time, now if I turn it up all the way it's just too loud! Big upgrade on the sound as well!

The funny thing is you don't keep bringing it up other people do. You said your piece and moved on yet it keeps being brought up again and again.
I didn't know that. I have sympathy for you, trust me I do. I have lost games before. Not from doing a transfer but from my youngest breaking the screen. and right now I don't have my Wii U or XL to play right now which is pissing me off.

zerk, I feel for you. I would hate to lose all my save data, and it does point out that the transfer method is flawed. A simple account system would solve everything, with the ability to transfer save data via SD card.

@bezerker99 Wow I genuinely feel bad for you.
My experience with my N3DS is extremely good so far and i wish yours was the same. Hope you get those issues fixed soon. Also I think you should call up Nintendo regarding the NNID issue. Keep us posted.

@WaveBoy the C stick is excellent. It's never meant to be a second circle pad. It just a nub as a secondary input and it serves it's purpose extremely well. You're judging it as a circle pad which you shouldn't be.
As for the color temperature I noticed that too haha. But that's only in the menu screen though and I personally prefer the warmer colour because it is more welcoming to the eye. From what I know the old XL has this warmer menu screen, only the original 3ds has the cooler screen.
The smaller 3ds has a slightly crisper screen, but the 3d effect is much better on the XL due to the bigger screen. When the 3d is turned on, the jaggyness get smooth out a lot. On MH4U, 3D on and off has a huge impact on the graphics and playing it on 3D is just so much fun. So yeah I would gladly sacrifice the slightly crisper screen for a way bigger screen and much better 3D. I tired playing mh4u demo on my old 3ds and it was awful.
I did miss my midnight purple 3DS.... but my new Red XL is just as striking! ! (Thank god as I hate the dreadful looking old XL which is why I never upgraded). Personally I think the new XL looks more "grown up" and more luxurious. The New 3DS on the other hand is more colourful and toy-ish. Which is why my wife is still holding on her pearl pink for now. She love those colored buttons and faceplate lol.
My only compliant for the new XL is the SD card location. What the hell were they thinking. First time in my life I need to use a screw driver to access the memory slot.

I had to send my Wii U off for repair on the 30th of Jan and when they sent it back, it was still broke so I sent it back to them for more repairs. Thankfully, I just got an email with a tracking # and it's apparently on it's way back to me. (Boy, have i really missed that sucker).
If at all possible, I really do not want to send my newly acquired New 3DS XL off to them. I firmly believe something happened that can't be undone during the wireless system transfer.
I appreciate the comments. If I ever get it fixed, best believe I'll be here to let everyone know!

Tried formatting and call up Nintendo to transfer your NNID to your new 3ds?

Awaiting delivery of my new N3DS and wondering about screen protectors. Do people bother with them, and has anyone found any that have been designed to fit the new screen dimensions of the N3DS?
I'm going to have to call Nintendo in order to try and fix my New 3DS XL. When I go to the eShop, it attempts to prepare the SD card but it can't and gives me an Error message and then kicks me out and back to the Home menu. This means I'm unable to download anything. I was going to d/l the DKL trilogy as well as the MH4U themes.
I'm going to insist to Nintendo fix this ASAP or else as I am a very unhappy customer at the moment! >:[
