Yeah he didn't go into rage after it for me, the first time I encountered him while hunting another monster. He used it right there....so, yeah. Dunno why they did this, doesn't even look like it changes while he is in rage mode.
Ukanlos and Akantor are the same as they were in 4U... except you have access to such things as Aerial and Adept for easier mounting and evasion, respectively. Now Ukanlos isn't really hard, just very tedious, since you're constantly chasing after his pounces or waiting for him to stop swimming.
Am I the only one to not notice how the Fledderklauen dual blades "pulse" when you have them out?
I've also managed to harness the slot-giving powers of Velocidrome via the Azure Fangstrike great sword and a three slot Fastcharge +5 talisman to add Focus to the Arc (Shagaru) set without sacrificing Sharpness +2.
@Tsurii You can be fashionable with full sets AND functional, with a little elbow grease (and a bit of luck).
On a different matter, I just tried Dreadking and Grimclaw... despite their increased power they kind of felt easier than their normal counterparts, since (especially for Tigrex) they're far less prone to charging you (in fact I've never seen Dreadking ever attempt to run me down on the ground unless he was tired).
It certainly doesn't waste time; only a brief snippet dedicated to a flashback. Reference highlights include escaping the Gypceros by walking to the next area, and making an Energy Drink with a Nitroshroom and Honey.
Perhaps off topic, but if you want a good video game anime adaptation, check out the Zesteria anime. It's hardly groundbreaking, but it delivers competent scenes without delving too far into tropes. The first episode (episode zero) is definitely worth a watch on it's own, as it's an excellent pilot / inciting arc.
