Topic: Metroid: Samus Returns

Amazon says my copy will ship around the 20th (I didn't choose 2 Day shipping). Guess I can wait a bit.

@BLP_Software That has happened to me a few times. So frustrating when it's a game you really want.

@RR529 If you use Amazon often, Prime is worth every penny. Once I got Prime, I use Amazon for everything now. More than get my moneys worth. Prime gives 2 day shipping free, sometimes same day if you order early enough. If you don't use Amazon much, it's not worth it though.

@MarcelRguez Plus from what I've heard, just like the original absolutely zero backtracking is required if you're just looking to finish the game.

This to me is the first 2d Metroid to capture that Prime feel. From the graphics to the sound everything feels like Prime on a 2d plain.

Of course it's the only 2d version to release after the Prime series as well.

So this game is a good representation of a 3D game that's seen as a good representation of the 2D games on a 3D plane

Just picked up my 2 special editions from BestBuy (don't trust shipping to not crush them). And amazingly the EU special edition went live last night from GAME and they ship to the US, so I'm actually getting my artbook and steelcase!

Just got delivered. Too bad I'm still at work. At least I know it's there when I get home. Charged 3DS last night (haven't played it in months). I'm ready to go.

I hate to do this already... but I'm already stuck lol. I'm early in game, all I have is the ability to turn into a ball, no bombs, etc. I'm in a spot where I need to go up, but I can't jump high enough. Two places to go up, both way too high, and another spot, but I can't wall jump because there's yellow goo. Have no idea how to proceed.

You could try bomb jumping.

@Old_Goat_Ninja I'm not much further then you and never had to go up when I couldn't. Look around for a breakable wall or floor, that usually is always the answer.

Also, the waters receeded when you entered your first Metroid. Could that be it?
